The media could not be loaded. This is very easy to put together you legitimately just twisted the poles together and put the lamp shades on and there you go. My only issue with this was the smell. The wood or the string used for the lamp shades smelled absolutely awful, like a chemical awful for the first 3-4 days but it has subsided finally lol. But you will DEFINITELY want to air it out before setting up if you are sensitive to smells.

Beautiful, unique piece of decor. The lights point down so it shouldn't be your only source of light but it works great as a secondary light for like a movie night or something. This lamp did not come with the bulbs. The lamp is beautiful overall and I am happy with it but it is a bit shorter than other lamps. This does not bother me too much but I think I would've liked for it to be a bit taller. Mine came with an extra top piece (we think) so we spent quite some time trying to figure out where it went but it ended up not belonging anywhere. Instructions were ok but that extra top piece really threw me off. All things considered though, I am still giving this 5 stars because it's super stylish and goes perfectly with my farmhouse/industrial decor. 100% recommend.

I really want to like this lamp. Like, I TRULY want to like this lamp. And I do like this lamp, for the most part at least. First off, it goes together very easily. There are like three pieces that make up the pole, a top piece, the base, and the light fixtures. That’s it. They screw together quickly and you have a lamp in under five minutes. everything seems very sturdy, as the lamp pole is pretty sick metal so it won’t bend or anything like that, and the base is surprisingly heavy. I can’t see this lamp tipping anytime soon. It takes two standard size bulbs and throws a decent amount of light. Due to the nature of the shades the light is downcast, but there is enough gaps between the rattan shades to defuse the light up and out to the sides as well. It’s certainly not going to let your living room but it will add some decent light to a smaller room or provide accent lighting. The lamp is controlled by a dual rocker switch along the cord (I don’t know why all these companies are using rocker switches now, but they are) and each bulb can be controlled independently. The cord is exposed, which is one of the issues I have with this lamp, and runs down the length of the lamp pole. The other issue I have is the lamp just looks unfinished. The wood accents aren’t stained or lacquered or anything, and the shades have that same unfinished color. I would love to see a little bit more wood accents, maybe at the top or an accent along the pole, and they would look wonderful if they were stained and lacquered. I may end up doing that myself, but I’m not sure. Add that to the exposed wire and again, it just looks unfinished. if the wire went up the center of the pole and the wooden accents were stained this lamp would be perfect. But this is a great prototype for lack of a better term. I still plan on keeping it in using it, it would just be nice to see those changes made in the future.

Please be certain to read the entirety of this review. This floor lamp was very easy to assemble in less than ten minutes, and I was pleased to see that the product bears the UL seal and has a heavy base for stability. The jute string-wrapped lamp shades themselves hang from two light colored wooden cylinders, topped by another section of the black pipe that forms the lamp's column. The black is a bit jarring--brown would have been more harmonious. It uses a 40watt maximum bulb, and has a switch that allows the two lights to operate independently or together, and gives a warm, soft glow. I wouldn't exactly describe it as boho, much less farmhouse, but the wood and jute do give it a casual look that might blend with an eclectic decor. Although it's not my style, as a Halloween prop maker, I plan to turn it into something fun. Now for why I've given it only 3 stars. I deduct one star because of the unsightly, highly visible electric cords. Those at the top of the wooden cylinders are tolerable in themselves, but below that, the two separate cords are united at the switch, from which follows the long electrical cord that plugs into the wall. I don't recall ever having purchased a floor lamp with the wiring dangling midair. It is ridiculously ugly--how hard would it have been to run at least the wiring below the switch through the HOLLOW column pipe? It looks cheap and is certainly not something I would have in my home. From this follows the reason I deduct another star: misleading photos in the product listing on Amazon. As a Vine reviewer, I never check the reviews of others before evaluating the product itself, and also avoid viewing the actual listing unless I cannot get a good enough look with the single photo provided in the Vine listing. Well, after seeing the hideous dangling cord, and feeling sure I would have noticed something as awful as that, I checked both listings. I append three photos from the Amazon listing of today, 4/20/23. You will note that in none of them is the cord shown as being free of the column, and in one has even been made to appear as if it is exiting from the side of the round base. This is either a very clever use of tape or photoshopping. There is no mention that I can find anywhere in the listing of the cord running outside as it does. I consider that for photos in an Amazon listing to be so clearly different from the reality of the product itself, in such a way as to conceal an undesirable feature of the product, a very serious issue. I do not see a way for customers to know about this cord issue until they have purchased and unpacked the lamp. The only saving grace for this company is the fact that the product is listed as having free returns, so that those dissatisfied with the quality and aesthetic of the lamp should be able to return it at no loss but their own time. This is the ONLY reason that I have not awarded 2 stars or less. As a Vine reviewer, I'm not really bothered, because I ordered the lamp with the intention of reworking it into a prop, although I hadn't anticipated having to actually rewire the thing first. The whole point of Vine is for impartial reviewers to provide opinions on products that might not have many reviews--I've received fantastic products and a few lemons, as expected. Part of the fun of being a reviewer. Having very stern views on business ethics, I do think, though, that consumers considering a product for purchase deserve clear and accurate information in listings, and that this kind of discontinuity, whether intentional or accidental, raises serious questions about any company. This product was received through the Amazon Vine program.
