This is a comprehensive kit that includes everything you need to make your own body scrub. It should be a lot of fun, but you're on your own when it comes to how much of each ingredient to use, and the oils included are not that great. Fortunately I have some lovely oils left over from learning to make soap awhile back. I don't think I'll be including the botanical materials, pretty as they are, because my husband would be rather upset with me if any of that went down the drain and into our septic tank!

Useless product . Do not waste your money! This Home Body Scrub Kit is uncomplicated And Here is Why? I ordered this kit with high expectations, but I was very disappointed. The instructions are vague and unhelpful. It simply says: “Pour appropriate amount of bath salt into a measuring cup and add an appropriate amount of sweet almond oil and aloe vera gel.” What is the “appropriate amount”? There are no measurements, ratios, or guidance at all. Without clear directions, it feels like guesswork, which defeats the purpose of buying a kit in the first place. Additionally, the essential oils included are of very low quality. They lack the rich, natural aroma and strength that you’d expect. Overall, the product feels incomplete and poorly put together. A kit should come with clear, step-by-step instructions and quality ingredients. This one does not deliver on either. Overall, the kit feels cheap and incomplete. Do not waste your money. Very disappointed!

I had a lot of fun making this with my daughter in law. We substituted sugar for the salt because salt scrubs always sting me. We didn’t really care for the aloe smell but added it anyway. I have other oils and essential oils we can add as well. We didn’t use the dried roses or lavender as it seemed unnecessary. And she said it made the scrub look “dirty”. It didn’t bother me though. It didn’t make that much using the containers provided but we can use larger containers. It is a craft we both enjoyed and will make more using different ingredients. A great bonding experience and a lot of fun. It was also a good end result. It left our skin soft and smelling lovely.

This is a decent little body scrub making kit for beginners. I got this for my older kids to make little holiday gifts. I make soap and started formulating cosmetics myself as a hobby recently, so my kids always want to make stuff too. The only thing that is really missing from this is a preservative. I have Germaben II on hand which I'll probably add a tiny drop in for them for added protection in case water gets inside during use. The current price of $19.99 is pretty good for a basic starter kit. This is great with the holidays coming.

It ain't quality, but I guess it made a fun girls night. I was so stoked to try this kit. I saw it and immediately was like oh yeah that's going to be so much fun! However, opening it up you immediately run into an issue when you are faced with the instructions. Rather than state how much of something we need to add they just write "appropriate amount." I didn't freak out at that point, yet. Instead I pulled up the listing and checked their photos, description, video. Any indicator onto how much of what I need. There wasn't a single thing. What I did find was one video. There were no words saying how much to add and the sound didn't say anything. It was just a music overlay. So you get to play the "well I'm not a scientist but maybe this is the right amount game." thankfully its a pretty forgiving product that adding too much salt or oil isn't going to be the end all. I did love all the different things the kit came with like the dried lavender and rose. Was it a bit weird to have those in a scrub? Yeah kind of but it was unique so I will give it that. The thing that I wasn't a huge fan of when it came down to what they give you in the kit came down to the essential oils. If we are making something that is intended for our body, we really want a pure oil. I am assuming they are watered down and that's the only negative take from it. It's very easy to tell they are not pure oils when you uncap it and give it a sniff. Thankfully, I already have some pure essential oils lying around my home. Overall, I enjoyed the concept of the kit. It was a fun activity for a girls night. But also I love my girlies enough that I wouldn't ever get this kit again and instead would spend and get the proper and quality ingredients.
