The color is way more brown than I thought it would be and the butcher block pattern not as prominent. But it feels very high quality and is heavy! I bought black legs from Amazon and installed to make it a center table. Good value for money Feels smooth to touch and was packaged well so no dents or defects anywhere. It does say to apply oil or wax within 48 hrs of unpacking from cling film which I wasn't expecting. But applying oil didn't seem to make too much visual difference. Maybe for surface protection. It came a little dented on one side and three corners were dented, but the top four corners were fine, one was a little dented in but it's nothing to complain about since that side is hidden by my mic clamp.

Laminated! This is essentially plastic coated with a color that isn't the color of the wood beneath it. I know this because it came with a corner chipped off. If you are thinking this is too good a price to be true you are right. Multiple small scratches all over both sides this in unusable. Will look into sending it back but its very heavy. Look elsewhere if you want something that doesn't look cheap. ... show more

Looks amazing. We purchased a kitchen island years ago. The original countertop was definitely getting worn. This new countertop is sturdy and durable. The finish is gorgeous!!! Nice and smooth!!!!! Perfect size for our island.

Solid wood... but laminate covered NOT finished. Also, butcher block pattern is so light it just seems like a single piece of woodish material. True to size ordered, 36"x25"x1.5". Used for floating desk. Even with the near perfect packaging this thing came dinged and scratched. Most of the damage was hidden under and behind the desk. I would not trust this thing if I were using it for an actual counter top butcher block cutting surface. Aside from that it gets the job done but the description of this item is misleading. Just having the hevea wood stained and sealed in a butcher block pattern would have been a lot better. Would not have purchased if I knew this beforehand. ... show more

These butcher blocks are beautiful! I ordered two of them.After staining/polyurethane them, I was very pleased. They took very good care in packing and shipping them very well. Something I appreciated!

Overall, I am satisfied. Good quality surface treatment. A couple of downsides: 1) There were very small scratches on the surface (not very noticeable, but unpleasant) I assume that small debris got between the packaging film and the surface. 2) One corner was slightly dented, obviously the packaging was not of high quality and one corner was dented during transportation. Conclusion: The product is good but poorly packaged!!! So 4 ⭐️. I hope seller will improve quality of packaging. ... show more
