Which is a good thing but you need to make sure the legs or brackets or whatever you're using to support this can handle the weight. Pretty amazing for the price. This butcherblock top is perfect for my project. It arrived on time in excellent condition. The packaging was more than adequate to protect the top during transit. The top itself looks great. It already has nice smooth surface that will not even require sanding. I plan on cutting it down to fit a 30" cabinet and finishing it with a food grade butcherblock conditioner. The conditioner will take multiple coats and will darken the wood slightly and bring out the grain. ... show more

We bought these to use as garage counter tops. We were surprised at the quality of the butcher block. I would highly recommend it for kitchen, office, garage, etc.; anywhere you need a counter top. It is extremely heavy and UPS carried to our door.

I have the Ikea motorized desk legs and needed a new desktop. This fits perfectly! It comes unfinished, so you may want to put a clear coat on the top or finish it to your liking. I did not and it seems to be ok, I am getting some stains. But, I want a used, rugged look to my desk that comes with age. :). Or I am just too lazy to spray a clear coat on it. ... show more
