It’s handy to be able to charge 2 batteries at on time. With the USB cable you can use a portable battery supply in a pinch.

I expected this to plug into the AC, but it connects to a 5V USB charger. Have not run batteries down yet, so can't say how long a full charge takes. It may depend in part on the USB charger being used. It charges both batteries simultaneously. It's light weight, would probably work off a solar panel charger.

I travelled to the US with my Nikon 850D and with a wrong battery changer. Then I saw this one. The charger comes also with two extra batteries that I did not use yet. The charger works well and charges my original Nikon battery. There is a LED that indicates when the battery is charged and turns green when it is fully charged. For its price it is a good deal that saved my ability to takes photos during my trip.
