  • Blundstones are the GOAT
Size: 9 Women/7 Men Color: Black
I got these at a too-good-to-be-true price so I was skeptical that they were real Blundstones. I went for it because I figured either they’re authentic but a great deal, or fake and I could return them. Turns out they’re actual Blundstones and I was super pleased at the price I scored. I love Blundstones and these are the 4th pair I’ve owned. They’re cute, pair with everything, comfy, supportive, just about waterproof if you oil them occasionally, great for all seasons, have almost no break in time usually, and the insoles can be removed to be laundered or replaced. I’ve used them for serving and they’re maybe not as slip resistant as true kitchen shoes but close enough for the job. I’ve gone hiking in them (after they’re well broken in). I wear them all winter with the snow and slush. I traveled with them without looking as much like a tourist wearing hiking shoes, and they kept my feet dry in soggy Scotland. They’re expensive (if you don’t find a deal somewhere, REI Used usually has some) but absolutely worth the cost. Couple tips: • Australian sizing is different. Whole sizes = length. Half sizes = wide. I wear a women’s US 9/equivalent to a men’s US 7, so that translates to a unisex AUS 6. If I needed a 9 wide, I’d order AUS 6.5. (Extra tip: if you need a wide size, get “used” because those will usually be new but people didn’t understand the sizing system.) As for my fit, these fit as described. I always wear a 9, these fit like a normal 9. They don’t run narrow. • They should be a little bit tight across the top of your foot initially. Leather stretches, so give it a little time but it won’t take long. Just wear them when you’re at home if you have to break them in. Or wear thick socks and then point a blow drier at them to stretch them quickly. They will not stretch lengthwise though, that just means you need a different size. • I find that quarter crew socks or higher work best. Cheap ankle socks will just fall down in the boot, and the back of the heel/ankle will be sweaty against the bare leather. Wool socks are worth the cost and wick moisture way better than any cotton sock, especially in a shoe without some kind of ventilation. I love Darn Toughs. • Oil them. It doesn’t need to happen all that often, but it will greatly extend their lifespan as well as maintain the waterproofing. They’re expensive, so it’s worth the time and effort. I use a neutral-colored mink oil. • The way these wear out (for me) is that the leather gets way too loose and I need to keep adding inserts to take up the extra space. Eventually, a hole wears through at the side where my little toe joint is (that doesn’t stick out for everyone though.) It isn’t that the seam comes undone, it’s a wear spot in the leather itself. My first pair lasted almost 5 years of near daily use. ... show more

  • Update.....25 months and one day......
Size: 16 Women/14 Men Color: Black
I bought my first pair of blunnies years ago at a brick and mortar shop in the states, after trying on pair after pair in multiple styles the salesman clued me in. Do the conversion from Australian to U.S., then make a further allowance for width. Blundstone doesn't produce widths but the width increases with size. In fact as informed by the salesman many manufacturers of these paddock style boots the half size is the increased width of the whole size. Whew! It's confusing but once you get the gist of it.....No biggie. If you have a normal to slender foot, you're golden. If you have a sasquatch foot like mine (13EE) You've got a teensy bit of math homework to do. That being said, these boots did fit as expected, after I did the appropriate math. Secondly; that first pair had worn like iron with broken in comfort right out of the box. You'll find lots of reviews regarding the outsole crumbling. I'm going to echo that sentiment. My second pair did exactly that, at about a year out. This kept me from buying a third pair. Until now. I've missed blunnies. The pull on ease of use. The cushy comfort. Blunnies will work with nearly any outfit. Suits to shorts. I bought a pair having read fewer negative reviews lately. That and I've found cobblers online that replace insoles on these boots. Who buys and wears blundstone? Everyone can wear them. Durable, comfortable, low maintenance, slip off quick for the line at airport security, lightweight, good looking and now resolable. A pair of blunnies and a pair of flip flops and your kind of set for anything short of mountaineering or full formal dress. UPDATE : Nearly a year of wear and no problems. They remain sturdy and comfortable even though they've been worn daily since purchase. UPDATE 2 Two years, one month and a day after buying and I've worn these boots in all conditions, year round. Commuting by bicycle through sweltering summer heat and blistering winter freeze, hiking in the foothills carrying a pack and a toddler, cutting and processing cord after cord of firewood in feet of snow. They wear scars from arduous outdoor and indoor labor. Miles and miles walked on pavement, dirt, rock and endless hour on the concrete floor at work I've never cleaned, waxed or polished them. They are worn but not worse for wear. While I have secured boots for working outdoors these boots still carry me through every other situation and other than lazy days spent on flip flops these are the only other shoe I wear with regularity. Daily. Very happy with this purchase. ... show more

  • Comfortable, high quality, stylish, easy to own, easy to wear.
Size: 13.5 Women/11.5 Men Color: Stout Brown/Olive
This is my 3rd pair of Blundstones. Comfortable, high quality, stylish, easy to own, easy to wear. They transition from "dress-up boot" to "casual boot" to "work boot" as they age out. My old pair are now for casual work. My old-old pair are now for "hard-work" . What boot can do that! Note: Accomodates wider feet. The splash of color is a nice change. ... show more

  • Great leather and comfort
Size: 16 Women/14 Men Color: Stout Brown
I usually buy Red Wing's or Danner's but I wanted something more comfortable. These boots feel like a running shoe and a work boot had a baby. They are also waterproof. I washed them off with the water hose and my feet stayed dry. I did add some high-arch insoles because I thought the original insoles were lacking in that area. They are true to size like a tennis shoe. Work boots usually run a 1/2 size to a 1 whole size large. That is not the case here. The leather is the nicest of any of my boots. It is smooth and silky to the touch and have yet to crease with 2 weeks of daily wear. I also love that the 500 series are unlined whereas the 550's have a fabric lining. The unlined leather breathes and keeps my feet dry and odor free. I only wish they offered more colors. I bought the stout brown and they are almost black. It's a great color that is very versatile and can be worn with most any color. ... show more

  • Unreliable - fall apart without warning. And they know it..
Size: 13.5 Women/11.5 Men Color: Stout Brown
I have had four pairs of blundstones and they have all had soles that disintegrated well before their use dates. If you don’t wear the boots regularly they suffer from hydrolysis and totally fall apart without notice. Totally unpredictable and extremely poor materials. The boots look great and can be comfortable but you better use them regularly or one day they will just fall apart on you. I was hiking the last time it happened to me - I ended up walking home barefoot! Check out the pics. The boots looked perfect when I left the house then - poof - just imploded. ... show more

  • Great Kitchen Shoe Option
Size: 8 Women/6 Men Color: Black
First time using Blundstones as my kitchen shoe as a chef and will say I am sold. Took a little time to break in but I am a year and a half in and I’ve never had shoes that lasted this long. The non slip is wearing down which is the only reason I’m considering it being time to purchase a new pair and put my old pair in rotation as a home boot. Love the look and feel. Feet don’t hurt after multiple 12 hr days. Highly recommend. ... show more
