Finally! Have found the maxi length lightweight cardigan (not a sweater) that hangs as it was intended and advertised. Let me save you a LOT of time and effort (buying, returning, buying another brand, returning, etc). I have tried every one of them. I have purchased so much and had to deal with so many returns because the fabric was wrong, or it did not hang properly towards the bottom of the garment. Most of them show hanging in front of the shin but they only hang down the side of the legs making it look kind of weird. This one may be a few bucks more but you get what you pay for and the style you are looking for. I am 5’2” and, while barefoot, this size L hangs about 4” from the floor, is consistent from front to back, is very sturdy soft fabric, not so thin you can see straight through it, and drapes/hangs and flows beautifully when walking. Not too much so, that it makes you look like you are taking flight, either. Just enough, just right. I have spent 3 weeks ordering, trying, re-ordering, re-trying, returning, returning, returning, all lengths, fabrics, colors, and available cardigans. I do have favorite tested brands at this point. Bluetime is the hands down winner in the long maxi category. I am now comparing my last two candidates on the longer open front sweater style straight cardigans, though still lightweight. I have narrowed it down to Anymiss and Grace Karin. I will receive my first Grace Karin today and believe the fabric will be softer than the exact same style sweater/cardigan from Anymiss. (As we all know, it is all in fabric!!!) I will update as soon as I check it out and let you know. One of these brands will be going back and the other will be the hands down winner in the longer, straight , open front cardigan, lightweight sweater category. I’m not sure if I should have mentioned these brands on this Bluetime review, but I haven’t seen a Bluetime sweater style cardigan like the one I am talking about, so….. just FYI HAPPY SHOPPING ... show more

I do recommend this product even though there are issues. First the good: I initially purchased it in the black color. I wore it to a funeral with more casual black pants and a black t-shirt but with a fancy scarf and this sweater made it look much more formal and you couldn't tell at all about how casual my pants and shirt were that I desperately needed for being comfortable. I wear it with everything and it pulls an outfit together (even my pj bottoms with a t-shirt look stylish with this over them). It's flattering the way it falls. It's very "flowy" and it has pockets, which I appreciate. It's comfortable because it's lightweight and stretchy. I've been able to wear it in both Fall and Winter so far in California weather and have been both cool enough and warm enough. The fabric seems breathable and doesn't accumulate odors. It seems true to size and covers well. Lengthwise, I'm 5'7" and it falls to about 4" above my ankles so someone significantly shorter may need to hem it or wear heels. The sleeves are long enough to cover 1/2 of my hand if I want to wear them that long but they also pull up really easily or fold over without ruining the look. I think it would look good with a wide belt too. It also washes well. These are very comfortable and flattering, make it very easy to throw an outfit together that looks pulled together and it works for both casual and formal in my opinion, so for those reasons I recommend it. The issues: because it's flowy, it catches on anything I walk by & the way the thread was sewn at the bottom allows it to pull like a purse string. I just pull it back into shape and figure that I can run a stitch in the bottom that won't cause it to gather when caught should it become aggravating enough. My husband has also stepped on it when going down the stairs behind me & it’s easy to close the car door on it so you always have to make sure it’s all the way in the vehicle. Another issue is that it does pill very quickly, but it still looks decent enough that I don't care. I think because the material is thin that it isn't as noticeable. If you hold it up to the light, it's quite sheer, but when wearing it, it looks solid. It does wrinkle, but the fabric has weight to it so it generally seems to pull the wrinkles out where it isn't an issue for me. Another issue is that the colors are not represented well online. I suppose there may be variation in what people receive, but some of the colors online are different (both on my computer and phone) than what I received. The red is a much lighter orangey red, not a blue red, contrary to what some other reviews have said, at least the one I received. The gray blue is lighter and almost a teal but I especially like that one. The green is also lighter, like a kelly green, not a pine green, which I would have preferred, but they're good enough that I'm keeping them and figure I can try dyeing them darker if I feel compelled. I had a couple of issues with the orders but that has nothing to do with the actual product. I did receive a used one that was damaged and dirty that I had to return and when I ordered the red one, it had a much longer shipping time and then disappeared from my order list. When I contacted Amazon, they said the order was cancelled (no documentation or explanation whatsoever and none about being refunded as they said). I re-ordered it and (again) it took longer but did get here in less than a week, unlike the initial order of the red one that was going to take around 10 days. I recommend this for the comfort, flattering silhouette, and how easy it is to look pulled together, but if you have higher standards than I do, the pilling, wrinkles, and bottom hem when caught on something my be unacceptable to you. ... show more

Teal color is brighter in person than the listing, and it's very pretty. Nice and long with decent pockets. This is very thin material, keep that in mind. It was perfect for the person I bought it for, they do not like thick sweaters. This could be used as a light robe or worn out with a variety of outfits, it's very versatile.
