I purchased this for kayaking, I wanted something without a back so the life vest does not ride up, this is great, very lightweight and full motion. I wanted one that was automatic since I am a decent swimmer and not worried about my ability to swim, but if something were to happen and I was knocked out I wanted it to keep me floating. This does also have a hook for a whistle to attach to it, it is very low, but I found a retractable whistle so it does not get caught on anything but can reach my mouth if I need it. ... show more

    • Keeps inflating randomly
Well mine has inflated twice since I bought it on June 23 2023. The refill kit is 32 dollars a piece. I mm sure these are great for every once in a while use but to be in the elements day in and day out is not working out for me. I am going back to a regular pfd after this failed 200 dollar expirememt. They are alot more comfortable to wear in the heat. But I can't afford this life jacket any longer. ... show more

The vest shipped immediately and came in perfect condition. I bought this for a kayak and the conversion to manual was quite easy. Unfortunately being a small women the co2 container is right on my boob and the vest won’t bend to the body which is quite uncomfortable, but it will work for what I need it for. ... show more
