I usually rub some olive oil on my wood utensils and cutting boards so I was happy when I saw an actual treatment to preserve my items. I have olive wood utensils that I love because of the beautiful patterns in the wood but they get dull and dry and you can't see the grain as well. This conditioner is food grade so I used it on them and it brought out the different colors and patterns beautifully making the wood tones look richer and deeper. We have two butcher blocks that get constant use, so we have to clean them often. As anyone knows it really can wreak havoc on the wood. This conditioner instantly restored our butcher blocks.     • Easy and smells good.
Based on the description in the product title, I was surprised to see that this has mineral oil in it. I do not consider this a food grade oil (it is petroleum), but it is only one of several oils in this product. I used this product on two wood cutting boards. It was easy to apply, and not too thick or too thin. It seals them nicely, and gives them a lemon scent. I am not a fan of the lemon scent because it transfers onto the food that is processed on the cutting boards. I would prefer that this product not have any added scent. I ordered this product because I have a number of cutting boards that need to be treated. I have another brand of butcher's block oil, but gave this a try. This oil was well packaged so that it arrived intact/no spills or seepage. The instructions are clearly printed on the front. I applied some to a cutting board (before and after pictures) and let it sit for 30 min to let the wood soak up the oil. The wood is fresh and bright, but not greasy. The texture of the wood is enhanced. The smell is lightly citrus, which is not unpleasant to me. I think this will work very well on my other cutting boards as well as heritage wood pieces. ... show more

I was a little hesitant about the citrus oils transferring scent onto whatever I cut on my cutting boards, but this oil overall is nice and I haven't noticed any issues with the scent so far. The oil is a nice consistency and seals my cutting boards well!

This cutting board oil does the job, and it smells great, like lemons! It's easy to just apply it with a cloth, wait 30 minutes, then wipe off any excess. It makes my cutting boards smell great and look really smooth and shiny, and now they're ready to use. I really couldn't be happier with this cutting board oil.
