This is my second purchase of this item. I like everything about it except the newer model uses a plastic snap in buckle instead of the old velcro secured belt. There is no way I would trust this not to break or come loose under heavy use. I will be replacing the new model's belt with that from my old one. Too much is at stake to trust the flimsy plastic snap in buckle.

More comfortable than I thought, really works the way Robert describes. I wouldn't change anything on it. Nice to have your board & foil farther away after a fall at speed or in the surf. I tried making a homemade leash for foiling last year and earned 6 stitches for my effort - just buy this one and have fun.

Just used this for the first time on the Oregon coast for wing Foiling, its so much bet than a static leash. Im still meat so I spend a lot of time getting thrashed by the waves and fallout off, the extra slack is very nice. Getting up on the board I never got tangled or wrapped up. Very happy with the purchase.

I use it, retractable leash while surfing with my surfboard and sup foil board. It’s much better and safer to use than coil or regular leashes. I am expecting that the components of this retractable leash will prematurely fail and be used safely for many years. Up date 2/21/2022 The stainless steel coiled spring cracked in multiple places. It is not useless.
