  • Stylish but not perfect
Color: Tortoise Magnification Strength: 0.0 Diopters
I'm a computer science student and spend an obscene amount of time in front of computer screens every day. Even though I religiously use Flux on my screens, I bought these because I needed something to prevent screen glare and thus eye strain. However, after using these for a few days, I have a few pros and cons: Pros: Very cute and oversized in a stylish way. Was afraid it wouldn't fit my face, especially the nose bridge as my current rx glasses are 15-16mm, but these fit well. The frame is made of a flexible, lightweight plastic, and the lenses are plastic as well. I wear these with over-the-ear headphones and they do get in the way a bit but because the frame is so thin and flexible, it isn't uncomfortable. NOTE: by "flexible" and "thin", I mean the plastic definitely feels cheap and bendy but it makes the frames weigh like nothing. The lenses tint everything to a pale yellow shade and under some conditions (i.e. lighting and skintone of the wearer), they are slightly noticeable to other people. However, if you compare these to Gunnar computer glasses, where their Amber colored lenses are NOTICEABLY yellow, these are by far more subtle. The tint isn't that obvious, so much so that I wouldn't have an issue wearing these in public. Cons: Every time I use these, they give me a slight headache. I'm not sure if there is some sort of magnification on them, but there IS slight distortion when wearing them, almost to the point where it's causing me to strain my eyes more. Also, if there's a light source behind you or to your sides, you'll most likely experience glare from inside your lenses, which is pretty distracting and probably reflecting the blue light back INTO your eyes. Also, the lenses are very prone to smudges, but they do come off with the wipe cloth provided. Overall, I think these glasses would be fine for people who are casual computer users, but I think the distortion may still be an issue for some people. ... show more

  • Great for desk job
Color: Tortoise Magnification Strength: 0.0 Diopters
I work at a university and a lot of the tasks I do require time spent at the computer. I was coming home from work 3-4 days a week with a nasty migraine. My friend recommended a pair of blue blocking glasses that were $75. Since I wasn't sure if they would remedy my headaches, I wasn't looking to drop a pretty penny on them. Alas, I found these more budget friendly options to test them out. I'll begin by saying that I was very excited when they arrived. They came in a sturdy enough case to keep in my backpack, which I toss books in frequently, without fear of them getting crushed. Upon opening the glasses themselves, the lenses were much more yellow than I had expected. I was fearful that other people would notice how yellow they are - I've been wearing them daily since I received them and no one has mentioned the color of the lenses. As you may be able to tell from the four star review, they have helped my headaches. But I wanted to be clear that the photo with the listing makes the frames look much more sturdy than they are. They are not hard plastic, like a rayban frame, but are a little more flimsy. I won't be purchasing this pair again, but am glad I did. ... show more

  • Don't hesitate, buy these glasses!
Color: Tortoise Magnification Strength: 0.0 Diopters
I don't wear glasses, contacts, or even sunglasses because I don't like stuff on my face. However, when looking at any screen (phone, tv, laptop, movie theater, etc) I canNOT be without these glasses! These glasses are WELL worth every penny. How do I feel wearing them? My eyes feel athe rest while using a screen. They don't feel strained. I used to get dizzy after using a screen. No more, with these glasses! Usually after screen use, my eyesight was blurry for quite some time-I even considered getting my eyes checked. Usually when using a screen before bed, I felt charged up and ready to stay awake, rather than sleep, like I was supposed to. Now, when my bedtime arrives, I can fall asleep faster than before these glasses were in my life. ALL of these have been life changing for me. I almost want a pair of glasses in every room that I use a screen so I'll never be more than arms reach! These frames are lightweight. The lens opening is large which helps so I don't see the frame while using them. They come with a nice, soft, cleaning cloth, and a durable hard case which closes with a strong magnet. You will NOT be disappointed! I also tried a pair of glasses from a cheaper brand, and I instantly hated them. They made me feel even dizzier, and that wasn't even looking at a screen. Spektrum is the way to go! Buy more than one pair. You won't regret it! ... show more

  • So far so good!
Color: Tortoise Magnification Strength: 0.0 Diopters
I just received these glasses in the mail and so far I love them! Before purchasing a product I look through basically all of the reviews in the past 4 months or so, and for these glasses I was concerned by many people referencing the "yellowish tint", but I decided to give them a try anyway. I'm glad I did! When you hold the glasses in your hand you can see a slight yellow tint to the glasses. However, when you have them on your face, you do not see the yellow tint at all, and others tell me they can not see the yellow tint when I have them on as well. If anything, the people looking at you may see a small blue tint on your glasses when you are staring at the computer screen. While some people on the reviews complain about how much blue light is stopped, these glasses advertise 50%. Half of the blue light comes through, but not at such high levels where it makes your eyes uncomfortable. As I stare at my computer screen right now, my eyes are very much calmer (not dry and straining to read), and it significantly helps with reflections on the screen (light coming from behind me). All in all, love these so far, and would definitely recommend them! ... show more
