This is a really great cooler. It keeps ice for days. It can also keep hot things hot. I cooked my Thanksgiving turkey ahead of time. I wrapped it in foil and threw it in this bad boy with a bunch of towels. It was still hot after 3 hours in the cooler!! I really like the drain plug too. It is really easy to unscrew and drain out any water in your cooler. One con is the weight. This is a pretty hefty cooler when it is empty. First outing with the cooler. This is a great cooler, keeps things cold and is very well built. I went with 4 stars instead of five for a couple of reasons. It pretty heavy empty, probably why it works so well. The metal handle is great for wheeling it around, but not great when you transport it. It bangs quite loudly against the side of the cooler. Fixed this with a towel wrapped around it, the problem could be solved in production by just adding a couple of rubber rings on the handle. ... show more

This cooler will pay for itself pretty fast as far as saving money on ice. My old cooler was very small and could hardly hold anything. This cooler is a little bit too big for me. I wish Amazon had the step down from this but they didn't so I ended up buying this one. I was going through a bag of ice a day in the old cooler. Constantly throwing food away that would fall into the melted ice water. Now I buy two bigger bags of ice at a time but they last about 4 to 7 days. I'm guessing when the weather is colder they will last 7 days plus. On very hot days it might last 3-4 days. I drain the water every morning. When I first bought it I was testing it and it wasn't getting super hot but had kind of hot days cooler was in the van and it usually lasted about 4 days. Which is a lot nicer than having to replace my ice every single day regardless. It costs a lot of money but it's a good investment and will pay for itself pretty fast if you use a cooler all the time. ... show more

First use was in the desert over a weekend at 80°F, stored in the tent vestibule. I drained it once over the weekend and it lasted 5½ days total. I'm sure if I had kept the water out it would have achieved the 6½ days like many of the reviews I watched. The picture was on Monday night. It was filled mid day on Friday and the last of the ice melted on Wednesday night. It was only drained Sunday morning.     • Highly dissatisfied with this cooler
I had such high hopes when I saw this company advertise it could hold ice for up to 10 days and didn’t cost as much as a Yeti. All I wanted was for a three day weekend. I put ice packs in 24 hours before we left for our trip to “activate” the cooler. The next day I loaded up the cooler and emptied a big of ice into it. I got into it not even a handful of times to find that 24 hours later the ice had completely melted. It did remain cool however absolutely no ice and half the time the cooler was in complete shade. To make sure it wasn’t a fluke I did the same thing the following weekend and came to the same result. It is absolutely ridiculous to charge this much for a cooler that won’t even hold ice for one full day. I’ve got an old Igloo that does better. This will be returned. ... show more

Kept my frozen food solid. It’s a little cumbersome, but I’m 74, and finding a lot of things are these days! I decided on the version with rollers to make moving it easier, and it’s worth the extra money.

To keep food on desert off road adventures I have bought and thrown away a small mountain of coolers. This cooler works, and is big enough so that you can do two to one by volume - ice to goods. Items going in the cooler are already cool to cold. I ice pack them and drive out in 120 F weather. Jeep Gladiator bed with tonneau cover is even hotter. Stays cold. Haven't been ten days, but last off-road in monument valley and the valley of the Gods for six days kept everything iced and provided drinking ice as well (we were beyond stores). ... show more
