Blue Buffalo has kept my cats healthy for years
Flavor Name: Variety Pack: Tuna, Chicken, Fish ...
Size: 3 Ounce (Pack of 12)
I have been feeding Blue Buffalo to my cats since shortly after the company began business. I was recruited as a store demonstrator for Blue Buffalo, which I enjoyed for a few years, in Maine and North Carolina. After switching my own cats from Science Diet to Blue Buffalo because of a skin problem w
ith one of them, I soon found improvements in all of them, including those I had believed to be perfectly healthy. Since I began feeding Blue Buffalo, I have raised four cats into their mid-20s or later, one of them coming within a couple of months of reaching 29 years of age, and no cats have failed to make it into their mid-20s. I currently have two cats, an 8-year-old and a 2-year-old. I free-feed Blue Buffalo kibble, rotating between the recipes, but I also give them each a small can of wet food each morning and, if they eat that, another in the afternoon or evening. They regulate their eating habits pretty well, so overeating has not been a problem. They do prefer a variety of canned foods, though. Although the Blue Buffalo recipes are among their favorites, they balk at eating the same thing day after day, and I can identify with that. Consequently, I also feed them some other brands of canned foods. What I looked for in canned food is that meat, poultry, or fish should be the first ingredient, and there should be no corn, soy, wheat, gluten, or unnamed byproducts. Blue Buffalo meets that standard. This variety pack includes three recipes: Tuna Entree in Gravy, Fish and Shrimp Entree in Gravy, and Chicken Entree in Gravy. Approximately 80% of the total ingredients in canned cat food are found in the first four ingredients. The first five ingredients for these recipes are as follows: Tuna Entree in Gravy: Tuna, Fish Broth, Water, Chicken, Chicken Liver Fish and Shrimp Entree in Gravy: Fish, Fish Broth, Water, Chicken, Chicken Liver Chicken Entree in Gravy: Chicken, Chicken Broth, Water, Chicken Liver, Dried Egg Product Some people complain about seeing water as an ingredient because they feel like they're being cheated, and not all of Blue Buffalo's recipes have this much liquid—these are their gravy recipes. I include all of Blue Buffalo's recipes in my cats' diet plan, but I particularly like the gravy recipes because they like the gravy recipes, and cats prefer to get most of their liquid requirements from food rather than drinking water. Older cats, in particular, often don't drink enough water to support their aging kidneys. With that in mind, given that these are gravy recipes, I am wholly satisfied with the ingredients, and there's nothing scary in the rest of the ingredients either.

This is the only wet food my picky cat will eat. They’re small portions so i don’t have to worry about over feeding him.

Cats are divided on this brand
Flavor Name: Variety Pack: Tuna, Chicken, Fish ...
Size: 3 Ounce (Pack of 12)
Our female cat seemed to like this canned food, while the male would barely even smell it, let alone taste it. So I probably won't buy it again as they both agree on almost any flavor of regular old Friskies, Fancy Feast, Sheba, or Rachel Ray. They also won't eat any Meow Mix (dry or wet foods) for s
ome reason. I give them Rachel Ray dry food, it seems to work well for both of them.

Sounded like a good product but the stray cats didn't like it
Flavor Name: Variety Pack: Tuna, Chicken, Fish ...
Size: 3 Ounce (Pack of 12)
There's a cat that comes around the backyard... let's call him "Kitty Moe". He's not our cat, but he seems to think he is. So we noticed he got beaten up by all the fat cats in the yard, while he was bony and weak. We started feeding him. First our leftovers, and when we noticed he came to expect us
to feed him, we bought him a food bowl, a water bowl and cat food. All sorts of cat food: Dry food, wet food, chunky, pate, the "just add water to get gravy" variety. Well, one day I came across this brand. I liked that it was natural food, thought I'd do right by Kitty Moe and make him gain weight in a healthy manner. The first time I gave it to him, he ate it like the strays were coming for it. (They weren't. I stood right by him until he ate it all up). Problem was, the next morning, I found vomit all over the backyard. Circumstantial, of course. I didn't see the cat vomit the cat food, so I'm just assuming here. (Yes, I am making an ass of myself by mentioning this without confirming it... but it's vomit. You'll pardon if I don't play Sherlock Holmes on this one.) For the next few days, I fed him old faithfuls, full of deliciousness that it probably not healthy for him. A few weeks later, I finally tried giving him Blue Buffalo again come evening. I tore the lid off the cute little can, flipped it upside down in his bowl, and pulled the can off the wet food as one would while making a sandcastle at the beach. I called Kitty Moe over and left as soon as I saw him prancing towards the food. The following morning, I went to check on his food supply... and all of the food was still there. The perfect circular shape of meat flakes... the glossy exterior had now dulled and a few edges of the flakes had hardened. Kitty Moe did not like it. ... but also, keep in mind many strays come to our yard. The strays didnt like it either. We also have possums and raccoon visitors that like to frequent our yard at night, and neither of those questionably cute (depending on your perception,) mammals touched the food. I liked the idea of natural cat food, but even the trash pandas don't want it.
