I find this. I have a ridiculously finicky 1 1/2 year old German Shepherd. He's the first dog I've ever had that I've had to encourage to eat. I've tried all the brands my vet and other vets recommend, and he's been HO HUM about them. He's been eating this brand over a month now and is actually excited about his meals. The choice of what food to feed our dogs is never an easy one; differences in breed and size and digestion make what's good for one dog not necessarily good for ours. What I can objectively say is that Blue Buffalo dog food is filled with high quality ingredients and they make many formulas (ex. puppy, large breed, older dog) to match the needs of most dogs. It is certainly pricier than the economy dog foods, but then again, it is reasonable to expect to pay a bit more for higher quality feed. From our experience with Shelby, our black lab, Blue Buffalo is the food she likes the best and the food that her body responds to the best. When she was a very young puppy she was fed Health Extensions brand, which was decent, but did not make a large breed formula. We then switched her to Blue Buffalo Puppy which she loved and which aided in her turn from a sickly shelter rescue to the healthy, shiny, energetic dog we have today. She eats this food voraciously (which is more than I can say for the Kirkland brand we tried for a few months), has plenty of energy, a super shiny coat (Kirkland brand left her with dry, itchy skin), regular digestive activity (yup, I went there), and she maintains a healthy weight. The price here on Amazon is significantly cheaper than the pet store and ordering online allows us to receive a fresh bag at our doorstep on demand. Blue Buffalo is the food we have found works the best due to the fact that it has high quality ingredients, it is made in the USA, there are many formulations to fit individual dogs needs and because the results thus far in our dogs health speaks volumes. I posted a before and after picture of our black lab. She is enjoying some Blue Buffalo Puppy in the before pic and is the big, healthy 1-year-old gal in the after pic. Good luck. UPDATE 10/2018: Our dog just turned three years old and has been eating Blue Buffalo food for just about her entire life; we switched from the Puppy to the Adult after about a year.
