My cat seems to like this although he often leaves some that he's licked clean and dry which frustrates me since its $$$. After switching to this food, he doesn't vomit as much, although still infrequently. Cat owners tell me this is common, especially with indoor cats. We prevent his "escaping" outside as we are in an area with cayotes, eagles, racoons, etc, looking for a tasty morsel. His coat is healthy, he's affectionate, lively, and seems happy. I have two male rescue cats I got as kittens. One is going to be 17 in August and the other 16. They just saw the veterinarian for blood tests and examine. The vet said the 17 yr old was in great shape for his age. Only issues are the common overactive thyroid and when they medicated him for that, the kidneys acted up some so they lowered the dosage. He used to be very overweight. Almost 21 lbs. I put him on Blue Buffalo pate six years ago and he's regular weight. The 16 year old only has a bit of showing kidney disease in the future. He is also a good weight. He can jump and run like he's a two year old. He's in great shape! I can hardly believe he's 16. Recent photos: First photo is the active 16 year old cat. Second the 17 year old. I think this quality of food has been the reason for the longevity of their lives. ... show more

My 2 cats really like this. Had to find a replacement for Blue Buffalo Wellness Complete which had a formula change. My cats totally wouldn't touch the new formula which was frustrating because I just had tried 10 different foods before settling on that one. Had to start over and was so happy that I found one both cats love. They can only agree on pate and poultry. They also have been grain free for awhile so I wanted to keep them on that diet. Not the cheapest cat food but also not the most expensive. One cat recently cleared up bladder stones so I only give him this whereas the other cat eats some dry food to keep my checkbook balanced. My male cat has also lost weight on an all wet food diet. He doesn't binge like he did with dry food. He really likes the food but stops when he's had what he needs to feel satisfied. First time I've been able to get him close to his ideal weight without him acting like he's starving to death. Haven't had a check up yet to make sure the bladder stones haven't returned so I can't vouch for that right now. My cats like it, the ingredients are good, and it’s a good value through Subscribe and Save at about $27 for 24 5.5oz cans, just a little more expensive than Fancy Feast ounce for ounce. The moderate level of high-quality protein may be easier on the kidneys for my older cats. Update: the last two shipments have been really loose and watery, and the cats don’t like it very much. I have to mix it 50-50 with Fancy Feast to get them to eat it and even then, they aren’t that happy. At least the cans haven’t been dented. Downgrading to four stars because it still has good ingredients for a good price, but if this next shipment still isn’t up to par, I’ll be downgrading further and canceling my subscription. ... show more

Our rescues usually gets donations if another brand but a litter if bottle were having bad diarrhea issues with the other kitten. I had a few cans of this donated in a mixed box and tried it. My mostly outdoor (formerly feral) cat loves this stuff. She only gets 1/4 can a day to supplement her main diet of dry food, but she's never had any health issues with it. I've ordered this 12 times over the last 3 years - chicken recipe, 5.5 oz cans, 24 pack. The first order came with a couple of damaged cans but, I took a chance that this was an anomaly and, happily, the next 10 orders were fine - sometimes a few dents but no leaks or seals broken. Today, there were 2 damaged cans with leaks and seals broken (and smelled awful). There's no way to know where the mishandling is taking place - manufacturer, Amazon, shipping. There also doesn't seem to be a way to make Amazon aware of this happening. I wish the cans were packed in a more secure way, starting with the manufacturer, but, also, at Amazon for delivery. The box this came in had no packing material and looked like it had been thrown around. I will probably order this again in the hopes, again, that this is not usual but, if damaged cans become a regular occurrence, I'll have to rethink. ... show more

My cat was transitioning from specialkittyfrom uknowwhere-mart and dr.elseyssalmoncleanprotein into bb indoor chicken, the pate has a canned spam look to it( i only mention this becuz yes i have read people downgrade other canned brands becuz of that-who is the actual picky eater?) I also put down here specialkitty why becuz the cat sometimes ate S.P. wet and sometimes dr.elseys wet. Why more whys? Because the s.p. was leaving this cat as mis-shaped poop when ate, and bb indoor makes poo longer. Why ask why? Since bb, he runs a little more (its been 3 5oz cans of change, not all of sudden of course) , but less sleepy and willing to be more gentle as a show of .. um affection. What its called when the claws are out if he purrs and reaches out to be petted. The meows before eating are also less dramatic. Like less needing to eat again. Satiety perhaps, or the difference of knowing us h00mains knowing who is cooking our food at bbq? Cat psyche forming u dig?! ... show more
