My dog, Bomber the Golden Retriever (BGR), LOVES this stuff! He proves his love for this food every day but eating at light speed and then trying to eat his brothers portion as well. Humans have to keep a very close eye on BGR because his is part ninja and seemingly eats his brothers food without his brother even realizing. We originally switched to this food for BGR due to a lengthy bought of sensitive stomach and it has regulated him and he is more consistent - If you catch my drift... He was also moving from puppy to adult food and needed to lose a couple of pounds. BGR is a 1 year old with an 83 pound body. I have not tried it personally but again based on his love of this stuff, it must be good. Oh yeah, it's all natural and full of good stuff not bad stuff. So definitely read up on it. We went through the typical dog food companies, and were unimpressed with their selection of ingredients. Then we stumbled upon Blue Buffalo. We began with their puppy food, and were impressed with the quality ingredients. Our dog loved it too! When our dog (a standard goldendoodle) developed some gastrointestinal issues, we immediately switched to the "Basics" brand. This food was a real life saver. I tried for years to find a food that didn't cause very bad intestinal issues with my Rottie after a couple of weeks. This was the first prepackaged food to alleviate all intestinal issues. Shy of baking turkey and sweet potatoes myself, I have not found another food that works any where near as well as this one. My only complaint is the price. $50+ for a 24lb bag is quite expensive. ... show more

Their dog food is made here in the US and nothing from other countries and it doesn’t contain any ingredients I wouldn’t give my two dogs. A golden retriever and a Maltese/shitzu mix. I change up the flavors every time I’ve purchased food and I always check the ingredients listed. If there’s anything I don’t like as in garlic in it , I just pick a different flavor and buy that. I usually stick to the limited ingredients choices as they’re the best for dogs with sensitive stomachs like my golden has. I’ve spent countless hours researching all brands and so far I keep coming back to blue buffalo limited ingredients. ... show more

I know this is great dog food. It's what my dog needs. He hates the taste though, especially of the life bits. I have to add stuff to it to get him to eat it.

Best Dog food we've ever came across. Our Boxer Oliver "Ollie" had digestive problems along with food allergies. This food/Brand has put a stop to all of his Emesis, along with better bowel movements no more bumps on his skin too! He never feels sick and is always up beat and ready to go out and about. His coat looks fantastic, we use coconut oil on him after showers too! Basics by Blue Buffalo has saved us alot of money and headaches attempting to correct this whole allergy issue. ... show more

We've tried other Blue Buffalo dog foods, but the dog really dislikes this one. Need to try a different one.
