    • Good cheap phone for lite usage
Edit: Support reached out a few days later. Got it sent in for repair, phone was returned in a couple weeks, works fine. Happy with it overall; don't expect to play games on it, but it should be fine for general usage. Minimal stuttering during video, maybe an issue for some people. Screen turns off during calls, becoming completely unresponsive. No buttons or gestures turn it back on until the call ends. Tried the usual- clearing app cache, changing permissions, restarting, reinstalling... nothing works. Did notice a strange red light visible under the bezel at the top that turns on when this is happening. Never turned on before under any other circumstances. Would love to reach out to BLU support, but the website is busted and won't submit my support request (something about an "SObject list"? definitely an internal scripting error). Tried calling, but... you have to press 1 for English, which I can't do, because of this issue. Hoping this review reaches them instead, because until this started happening a couple weeks ago, I was really happy with the phone. ... show more

    • Incredible phone for the price!

I've had for a little over a week and so far I love it. Fast operations, extremely bright and colorful display, takes amazing pictures and video, sound quality is very good. The only doen side I've had so far is it does not include wifi calling, but I've struggled with spotty service at my house through T-Mobile. With this phone I've never lost a call and always have 3 bars so the wifi calling has not been a problem. Even my daughter's iphone only gets 1 bar so for this phone to bounce between 3 or 4 is impressive. The phone case it comes with is pain black but since this a newer phone I can't find any sold elsewhere so that was great to include in the box. Turbo charging through type c is incredibly quick and I haven't used the wireless Charging yet. Overall I am extremely happy with my purchase especially because I was about to buy a $700 phone that was half the benefits of this phone through an upgrade. Will update after I've had the phone for an extended time and definitely will update immediately with any problems! ... show more

I bought the Blu G91 Max because I wanted to switch to the Android platform from iPhone, and I didn't want to spend $1000 to try it out. I bought this for $240, and I see it is cheaper now. Don't let the brand name scare you off, this phone is excellent value for the money. It was excellent value at $240! I'll start with the CONS because although I've had the phone for about nine months, there are only a few: -The microphone is not good. Hardware-wise, really the only component that isn't top-notch. The video quality is great, but the audio recording is awful. -The volume button is way too sensitive. If I listen to music on a Bluetooth speaker, I have two options: Way too quiet and oppressively loud, the rest of the scale is beyond those two and thus irrelevant. I realize this is a picky criticism, but I have to admit it is super annoying because I use my phone to listen to music all the time. I have to move my speaker to another room to make it work. -This con ends with a pro. I had an issue with my proximity sensor and figure out it was my screen protector. In the meantime, I emailed Blu customer service. They responded quickly and gave me a list of potential issues, including the screen protector. I responded just to ask if they could recommend a better screen protector I could buy. They got right back to me and said, no worries, we'll just send you a new one for free. Excellent customer service! There are many PROS to this phone. The switch to the Android platform was positive for me, but that's really a matter of preference. For this list, I will stick to the phone specifically: -The screen is huge, and the display looks great. I previously had a much smaller phone. I can't see myself ever going back. I worried that the size might make it too unwieldy. I have dropped it a few times from small pockets, but overall the large size hasn't been a problem at all. Rather, it's one of the strengths. -The camera is plenty good enough. I've tested photos side by side with an iPhone XR, and the results are comparable. I've used it for portraits, landscapes, and all sorts of daily minutia to great effect. The video quality is also good. -I can plug this baby into my PC and copy whatever pictures I want. It's easy and seamless. My iPhone never let me do that, always pushing iCloud and shutting down my PC connection. -The 8GB of RAM is impressively fast. I am not a gamer, but I do watch a fair amount of video, and I've never had any issues with buffering or freezing up. -Wireless charging is boss. This is the first phone I've had that charges wirelessly. I charge it in my car and at home with no problems. This is a great feature. -I haven't had any issues with storage like I constantly did with my iPhone. I added an additional SD memory card, which was super easy, but I haven't needed it. -I use prepaid phone service (think Ryan Reynolds). The SIM was easy to install and worked immediately. The dual SIM option is kinda neat, although I can't really imagine why I would ever need it. -Blu includes a bunch of accessories, basically everything you need. I have used the included headphones and Bluetooth headphones with this phone, and both work great. I really like having the option. The included phone case is heavy-duty, and I still use it. I went through the included screen protector pretty quickly, but replacements are cheap. All in all, I highly recommend this phone. I rarely post product reviews but in my case a big part of the decision to purchase this brand I'd never heard of relied on reviews, which were mostly positive. I've tried to include as many details as possible in case your decision is based on a specific feature, but overall I've been very happy with this phone, and I would buy from Blu again. ... show more

    • Best Phone without paying I-Phone Prices

Came with a case and screen protector, earphones, charging cord and wall plug. Transferred from my LG phone to this one and I'm not gonna lie...I had help doing it. But once it was up and running OMG what a fantastic phone. The four cameras give me such great photos. I use my fingerprint to access different features and I'm absolutely loving this. I didn't even have to redo the connection to my car either. It just automatically did that and I was able to use my maps on my car screen immediately. Downside is that once you open several screens you can't just close one...you have to close them all or keep them all up until you're finished. Once you start looking around the phone and figuring things out you'll find it's an amazing purchase that's well worth the price. I even have hotspot which I didn't have with my LG phone....which makes it worth bringing my kindle tablet places now. I can't give it enough stars. ... show more
