I wanted a wrist cuff because the arm cuffs hurt making my pressure rise from the stress. Many say that wrist cuffs are not as accurate -- but the Meraw Aspen seems to be fairly accurate for me. I have not taken it to my dr ofc to compare the measurements as yet though. I like that the unit easily bluetooth-connects to my phone where I installed the Meraw app. I wish Meraw would allow me to add a comment of my own, but it does have a few pre-set comments that one can attach to a reading. The app saves date, time, BP readings and pulse rate. It is very easy to use and indicates when you have your wrist at the proper angle to your heart for an accurate reading. It will also indicate where your measurements land on the blood pressure spectrum. I find it comfortable to wear on my wrist while taking a reading. I take my watch off and place cuff on my wrist with the "computer" monitor on my inner wrist. Breathe calmly and slowly and you will have a measurement quickly. White coat syndrome is a real thing, and my doc will be pleased to see my relaxed-at-home numbers have normal consistency. I have a pacemaker after congestive heart failure and am on meds to make sure I dont retain water. So this is a serious addition to my health gear. I find if i follow the diuretic instructions from my doctor I get cramps in my feet from low electrolytes. If I ease up on the diuretics I retain water and my BP rockets up. So I weigh myself and take my blood pressure and pulse three times a day and vary my drug intake to keep right on 120/80. Doc and me very happy. This wrist blood pressure cuff is a good product. It came with batteries and was easy to use straight out of the box. It has a nice clear display that provides both BP and heart rate readings in bright block numbers. It also automatically sends all readings taken to your phone or tablet through the Meraw app. Which brings me to the only very minor drawback…you have to download the Meraw app to use the reading download feature. And while the Meraw app can be connected to the Apple Health app, it would be nice if the readings could be sent directly to Apple Health instead of connecting the two. That said, it’s a minor complaint and very much a “first world problem” which most people probably wouldn’t mind. ... show more

I’ve been tracking my blood pressure since receiving the cuff. It works easily and tracks the results to an app that you can review to discuss with your doctor. It also averages the 3 latest measurements, however I don’t pay much attention to these averages. I’ve also had two instances where the measurements were very incorrect. Before assuming you have bp problems, take your bp again after waiting a few minutes. Both times my bp was back to normal.     • This is NOT for patients that can’t move their arm

I purchased this as a hospice nurse to use on my patients during my visits. It is the most touchy machine I have ever had. You literally have to hold your arm in a certain position and keep it there until it is done taking your bp. I thought for the price I could use it on my patients that had low bp or even on skinny wrists because you get what you pay for….this however has only been used a few times and I have thrown it in my bag and never touched it again. I only recommend it for someone that likes a challenge and wants to elevate their Bp before checking it! Because the frustration you will experience while checking your bp is insane! 10/10 do not recommend! I just want to add I used this for an entire week and was only able to successfully get a Bp on 3 of my 25 patient visits. And 2 of those reading was on the same patient. The 3rd reading I went to that patient later in the week and no matter what we did we couldn’t get it to check their BP. I am super annoyed that I purchased this and will not get my money back because it’s completely useless! ... show more

This product is well made. comes with a sturdy box but has no case to store it after you open the box. the numbers are big enough and clear enough to see. however, if you do not pay attention to the tips in the monitor regarding arm placement, it will not start and this is difficult to senior citizens ( I tried on a few of my patients) and it was hard to recommend this product for them. I wish the item had a case and the hand placement will be hard for some senior citizens to follow. its ok but there are other user friendlier products ... show more
