  • Great board, more than expected but flimsy remote.
I purchased this for my son’s 10th birthday. I grew up skating but on an “unpowered” board, and we were concerned it would be too fast and dangerous for our son with claimed speeds of 17mph. First of, this board is ton of fun. I find myself using it as much as him. It has more than enough power power. It is fast, powerful, and has a great battery. It has two speeds, and while I use the fast speed my son uses the slower speed. At first he thought he wanted to go “very fast,” but after he tried the fast speed, he decided the slower speed was more to his liking. It is legit and likely does go 17mph as the manufacturers claims. The board carves great and carries me for miles, and I weight 200 lbs. Buy the insurance, while the board is built well, the remote is flimsy. It no longer takes a charge after 9 months and I had to file an insurance claim. I hope to get the new board or remote soon. It would get 5 stars across the board except they need to provide a better remote. ... show more

  • Powerful, Easy to use, Dependable, and a great Value. Great for an adult or child for a first electric skateboard.
I purchased this Blizart Huracane 38" electric skateboard (single 350W motor) from Amazon a week ago. I have put approximately 30 miles on it so far and to date have had no issues. I am extremely pleased with the performance of the board and presentation from the remote control to the wheels and the board itself. You might think that because this board has only a single hub motor that it would end up experiencing riding or speed consistency issues, either on rough roads or inclines, but I am here to tell you that is not a problem. The single motor Huracane performs excellent on a multitude of surfaces such as flat, inclines, rough suburban roads, tree debris, declines, ..you name it this board seems to handle it and handle it well. I have only given it one long distance test and it outperformed the 10 miles on a full charge by going 10.41 miles. I am a 155lbs rider and the max speed listed also seems to be on the nose with 17mph in high/fast mode. I get a max of 7mph in low/slow mode, but my sons get 8mph and 9mph in low/slow mode so weight is definitely a factor at least in low/slow mode. I didn't know this when buying the board, but Blitzart carries replacement "tires" for the motor on their site (and I believe they also have a video on the site or Youtube on how to replace the tire as well as replacing the battery and ESC). The Blitzart support seems to be very responsive and I've watched Youtube videos that state their customer support on product issues is very easy reliable to work with. All things considered, if you are looking at starting out purchasing your first board for a child or even an adult I believe that you will be happy with this purchase. It's a steal at this price and reliable to boot. ... show more

  • What an utter Pile of crap. It gets two
What an utter Pile of crap. It gets two, not one stars, soley because it sometimes does in fact run, and the components appear somewhat sturdy, and fit and finnish was pretty damn polished. Oh yeah, the fit and finnish is probably the only thing good about this board. The board is massively underpowered, and because it has a single motor, there is a slight pull to one side. This can be an issue as it introduces a slight wobble at high speeds. The lack of torque and relatively large 3inch wheels mean that not only is acceleration lacking, that it stutters a lot and is very slow to pick up from a stand still. Again, if this was the only issue, these are livable. With a brush motor, you can kick it like a traditional long board, which makes a kick or running start before hitting the motor a viable solution. Now come the real problems. From an engineering standpoint, design is terrible. The first board I had, the controller would randomly disconnect, and got worse to the point I could not make it 15 feet without having to get off, turn off the motor, and then reconnect. The second board had no such problem, but within a day the screws on the bottom vibrated loose, two fell off, and the board cracked and the lamination that holds the layers together peeled started peeling them apart. That is day one. It is a hazard to take this thing on the road. Build quality is absolute shit. If that was not bad enough, the board refused to turn off, kept beeping error codes, and then the battery would show as empty after a literal 200 feet of riding. My needs are not much. I used this to commute about a mile and a half each way, but within a week it has had catastrophic failures. This looks like a good deal. While Amazon will give you a refund when this breaks, it is not worth the time, headaches, and downtime between failures. ... show more

  • Best quality board for the price.
I went through many sites and amazon for reviews before I bought any type of electric longboard. Seems this had the best quality to price ratio. The speed is definitely enough for any experienced longborder. And if you’re new to it, there is a slow option on the remote. The only issue I have is the battery seems to need charging every time I make my 4 mile route. This isn’t a problem for me because I don’t go further. But it’s far off from 15 miles, or 13, which the product says. Little inclines and little declines. However I do weigh 205 lbs and with my bag on I weigh about 215. So I’m not upset about that. Braking seems fine but will only slow you on a declining incline so be careful. Comes assembled. Only 4 stars just because the battery inconvience and I wish the handle had rubber around it for more comfortable carrying. Would buy again! ... show more
