These are not top notch pottery tools but they are a great starter kit. I recommend students get something like this and then replace the tools they use the most with higher quality tools as they progress. All around a fine tool set, great for the money.

I got these for my ceramics class and they’re pretty decent quality for the price. One of the tools broke while I was trying to poke holes in a clay pot but it was fine since I was done with the pot anyway.

This item is great I would definitely recommend buying it. They are really sturdy, very well made. Let me say for this price it was a steal. I'm definitely going to purchase a set for other family members. I don't think I will have to buy another set for me for a long time, they are very well made.

    • One tool falling apart already
I bought this set for a community pottery class I'm taking. I bought it because I wasn't sure what I would need. I'm a beginner, so I got a little bit of everything. Some of the tools I don't use right now because I'm a beginner but one I use frequently that has already falling apart is one of the trimming tools that has a hoop at the top. My class is once a week for 8 weeks long and it started to come apart at class 6 of 8. I do appreciate the sponge, I use that all the time and the wire cutter. If you're a beginner with pottery this package may be a little overwhelming for you cause it was for me. I just wasn't sure which tools to use. However if I decide to continue community classes this may be a great set for me to expand my skills. I do recommend for beginners to perhaps see if you can find a set that has the basics and buy a couple of trimming tools that are a little better quality. ... show more
