I like these set of tools and I use them almost everyday in my pottery. The wood does seem to come loose if you wash them or introduce them to water every other day like I do. It is an easy fix though since you can push the wood handle right back into the tool. Besides that, I would have preferred a few more set of tools that are much useful instead of having a repeat of a few. ... show more

This is an incredible value for the 18 pieces that you get in this kit because it is definitely a step above any other beginner kit we've come across. In this kit is everything you need to get started if you are a beginner. It is also of nice enough quality that the more experienced pottery will still appreciate the set, even if just for backups. These clay tools work, but the longevity of these tools seem to be limited. The wooden handles are attractive but they bend a bit too easily. I would definitely recommend this set for the beginner. I was able to use them while on my wheel, and the number of tools gives me many application options.
