  • this is THE book to get!
What a great book, I wish I had found this years ago! If you desire to make things to scale, such as buildings, furniture, etc, this is THE book for you! Blender has plenty of potential, and this book shows you techniques and tools to get the most from Blender for this use case. The author does a nice job of explaining things that are key to this kind of modeling. Many books try to cover too much - this book is focused and that's a huge plus, you'll get plenty of information on how to do anything involving precision - do you need something to be a certain length, or a specific angle? It's in this book. Want to use feet and inches? It's in this book. Metric? Ditto. Both? It's got you covered. Also worth noting the paper book was printed in color. Still on the fence? Take a look at the table of contents - It details out what kinds of topics are in the book and should give you an idea if this is the book for you. ... show more

  • Nice layout
First of all, I do this for hobby and been using Lightwave 3d for years, but recent changes made desire to switch to Blender. I also old fashion and like to have books handy. This book has nice layout for me but it would be nice to have an index.
