  • Good material, complete!
It is a fantastic set of books. It made me revive my Electronics engineering college years. The books are very detailed and have good explanations of theory and practice. To be better, they deserve a hardcover. These are the the kind of books to last forever and a hardcover would be a plus.

  • A must reference for anyone interested in radio communications or electronics in general
Most amateur radio operators are already aware of the value of the ARRL Amateur Radio Handbook. I have handbooks for 1947, 1973, 1995, and 1999. One does not need to buy them every year, but only occasionally to keep up with current technology. It is also a great reference to learn electronics in general. (Older editions will let you go back to learning older technologies like vacuum tubes - "valves" if your British - and audio is audio whether radio transceivers or guitar amplifiers.) I particularly like the 100th edition format, where major subjects are divided into volumes. It is much easier to physically handle a smaller book when studying or working on a project. BTW - it is less expensive buying the ARRL Handbook through Amazon than the ARRL! ... show more

  • Great service
Don’t normally do this for Amazon but had to for this. Watching TV the other night and got a call from Andy at Pacific Prime 1. Almost didn’t answer it but glad I did. He called to let me know that the picture of what I ordered was wrong and if what he had was OK. I preferred what he had anyway. Got it today and, Oh My God. It was the hard cover one. All I can say is Great service and great prices. I’m very picky about my books and this was in great shape. Even coming from west coast. Thanks and keep it up. ... show more

  • Classic technology instruction
I bought this as a review of electronics while preparing for an advanced ham radio license. It was far more thana review. The technical detail and depth of information is amazing. Each section breaks out a portion of electronics knowledge from basic electricity, to formulas for calculating power, voltage, resistance, current, impedance, reactance, wavelength, circuit Q and dozens of other calculations necessary to completely understand electricity and electronics. The volumes are laid out from basics to incredibly detailed and complex subject. A beginner could start with volume 1 and learn as much about electronics as desired. I would highly recommend this book for anyone wanting a rock solid education in electronics. ... show more

  • Extremely fast delivery
I like the six distinct volumes to keep complex reading together and very well thought out. I did misread the reference to the Kindle reader. I don’t know a thing about it and read the PDF is not savable for specific project printing. Wanting both the printed and electronic version was what I was expecting so I’ll require some help to utilize the electronic edition. I just opened the box I was excepting muck later and opened the first volume and now have to figure how to use my, unset up Kindle account. For the same $70 through ARRL I would also have a searchable PDF. I sure could use your help to correct my mess. Thank you (73, hamspeak) and I hope there’s a simple solution as I’m not as sharp as I once was. Bill Martin, KA1TIU ... show more

  • Nice collection
Very good collection recommend definitely.

  • Details and facts about electronics and radio
I have been an amateur radio operator since 1960 and have purchased many prior issues of the ARRL Radio Handbook. This one is a continuation of the traditional electronic fact and theory book with updated sections keeping up with the latest changes in electronics and radio. Still something that a person with a new interest in the radio hobby or the profession of radio and electronics could and would use on a regular basis to learn theory and construct a radio station. I bought the version that is divided into six smaller volumes because it is easier to hold and read versus the standard 1 1/2 inch thick tome. ... show more
