-[2ยฝ Year Update] It's going on 3 years and this futon mattress is still just as Thick and Comfortable as it was the day it arrived at my home! I love it, it's made by bed so comfortable that I don't want to get up in the morning lol. I purchased this for bc I wanted to put this on top my normal mattress and box spring bed, to work as a sort of "Pillow Top" and it has surpassed all my expectations in that department!!! It's super comfortable and I absolutely love it. It's so comfortable that I have had several friends ask if I have one of those several thousand dollar pillow top mattresses. And when I told them what I did they went out and purchased futon mattresses to put on top of their beds. Now there is one issue and that is the lack of handles as it is EXTREMELY heavy!!! The 9 inch version is listed as 65lbs but I call BS on that lol. It's at the very least 95lbs, probably more and being that it's a Queen and it's size makes it extremely awkward to try to carry or move around. I think the addition on two sets of heavy duty fabric handles on both sides of the mattress would help tremendously. Bc it's very cumbersome to move and I'm a pretty big guy, I'm over 6'4 tall and 245lbs plus and I have a hard time moving it around and flipping it. Now just a heads up to anyone else who is going to purchase a futon mattress to act as a "Pillow Top", your sheets aren't going to fit lol. So make sure to buy the next size up. I purchased this mattress for the futon in my home office/secondary den. So I was expecting a comfy piece, but this mattress is not very comfortable. It also seems that it didn't expand all the way from the compressed packaging. I've had it for about a month now, and it does not measure 9" in thickness. In fact,, there are sags in the material as a result of the material not expanding all the way to fill in the space. To make matters worse, it is hard. It looks good and the material seems durable, but I wish it was more comfortable.....way more comfortable. ... show more

The product did not expend when I took it out of the box and I left it alone for two full days. Itโ€™s already flat and isnโ€™t the most comfortable futon mattress I have slept on. Itโ€™s heavy and difficult to move or even fluff up. I would not purchase this item again, and would invest in a futon mattress that has springs in it. This was needed ASAP so Iโ€™m content with how quick it arrived. My suggestion though would be to pay a bit more for a more sturdy and comfortable mattress. As I said. I've had this futon mattress for a while now and it is comfortable, but be warned! Perhaps it's just the one I received but the smell emanating from it is awful, smells like rotten eggs. The futon bed is very comfortable. The last one I had you could feel the metal bars below it. I couldnโ€™t on this one. It felt like a huge pillow.
