I was actually replacing another cushion that was stained and beginning to smell after some years and this does the job. I had futon covers that my old cushion could hardly fit into but this cushion is just right for them. Some people on here say this futon is too thin for them. I think it is fine for a futon that is used occasionally and has slats. If you are going to use the futon a huge amount and perhaps have a wire suspension, you might want to go for something a little more substantial. It got here early. Vacuum packed. Easily opened. But it is extremely off colored fron the photo. More coral pink than orange. Luckily that still works for me I just needed a new cushion for my art room couch. Not super comfy. More of a sturdy cushion.

I put it in a vinyl cover, and it simply won't stay upright on the back of the futon when it's raised in a sitting position. Oh well...It wasn't expensive.

NOT as thick as advertised. Slumps on the futon frame, doesn't stay up on back when in seated position. Can feel the frame bars when sitting. Overall, not worth the money.

Well when I got the package in the mail, I definitely was surprised. I did not read detail I was in a rush so when I got it I thought I was getting a full futon but I was only getting a mattress. Was highly disappointed, but that is my own fault. The mattress is comfortable for a flat surface, good for your back if you have back problems, but pretty satisfied with the mattress it's just not as thick as you may think it is. And also the fabric paint they painted the fabric with smells funny. But I guess overall product I would give it three stars. ... show more

We bought this mattress for our outdoor swing. It is very comfortable and is perfect for it. However, it smells awful, almost like petroleum. Since it is a good quality mattress we don't leave it outside and store it in a spare room. The smell permeates that room and the things in it.     • Not comfortable of you have metal frame

I bought this to replace my futon mattress. I do have a metal frame futon, but I thought this would be cushy enough to replace the other mattress. The color is nice, but that's where the positive stops. It never plumped up after taking it out of the package and letting it fluff for 2 days before sitting on it. It is maybe 3" thick, again, after letting it sit to gain true form after taking it out of vacuum-sealed package. It is not comfortable AT ALL to sit on. You can feel the metal bars of the futon frame when sitting. I wouldn't buy this again or recommend it to metal-frame futon owners. This may be ok on the wooden frame ones. ... show more
