I bought this pump after a hand-crank type impeller type pump failed. The original hand crank was integrated in a mobile 30 gallon aux fuel tank unit I bought to keep fuel in for my mowers. It was a “made in China” special and the pump failed after 2 -3 uses. I tried to find an inexpensive 12v electric to plumb as a replacement but finding none for gasoline use - I bought this and configured it on top the tank. All I can say is WOW. This thing will pump so much, so fast, that you need to be careful. It will overflow before you know it! I am not sure about the polarity being called out correctly in the instructions. Mine was backward - unless I am mistaken. Anyway - swapping the power leads fixed it immediately and this thing is amazing. I am only lifting about 3-4 ft up - but still - the volume and speed is incredible. I recommend it without hesitation. ... show more

Purchased it to transfer fuel to a high wing aircraft. Works too well! The flow rate is scary fast! It works well.. but take care if the outfeed hose ever breaks, or otherwise you let it pump in an uncontrolled manner... a LOT of fuel will be dispensed. Seems well made. Only gripe is the outfeed hose crimps are very sharp and will cut your hands if not covered. FOLLOW UP>>> For some strange reason, the auto fuel I am pumping with this set up is causing what look like oil, to ooze externally from the hose ends where the black rubber hose is crimped to the hose connection. I thought there might be some grease from when the hose was assembled, but after careful cleaning, the oil keeps oozing from where the hose is crimped to the male fittings. So much so, it runs down the hose after sitting overnight! I will have to buy a new hose as I'm concerned that this deterioration may be causing this substance to be introduced to the pumped fuel. Too bad.. as the set up worked well. Revised #2: The hose has been flushed and left empty, yet the oily ooze still comes out! See pictures. I feel the fuel is leaking past a inner liner and is trapped between it and the outer cover of the hose.. and is forced out near the ends of the hose. The pictures are from overnight.. with an empty hose! The hose is going in the garbage. Revised #3 Could not stop the oily substance from oozing from the hose ends. Could not find a replacement hose with metric male pipe connections, so purchased a US made fuel hose with 3/4" male fittings and welded female pipe bungs to the male metric pipe connections that came with the pump. FINALLY no more oil coming from the hose! ... show more

This pump moves fuel quickly. The hose, as another reviewer also noticed, has a flaw. The threads on the hose connector are not 1" NPT. The hose will not mate with a standard 1" NPT female connector. Fortunately, the local hardware store sells standard hoses, so they had one that fits just fine. I'd recommend the pump, but buyer be ware...you will need to buy a separate hose with standard 1"NPT ends. ... show more

I wish I had gotten this a year ago , well worth the money . Making my refuel a breeze and super fast . It used to take me 17 minutes to refuel , now it takes me 1 min. and 42 seconds and no hassle and No cleanup .

The pump will not come on and I tried to return it, of course the card I bought it with can't be verified to send me a new pump and I'll send the old one back... so stupid... took all that time to put this thing together and can't get it to work or replaced...
