First of all, yes I know that Gunner Kennel offers their own All-Weather Kit, but I’m not paying nearly $200 to only cover the sides of the kennel and another $150 to insulate the door. This is it. I wasn’t sure if this would fit my Intermediate Gunner Kennel but it does! This is the Large size cover, and it’s a perfect fit. My Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Diesel, and I couldn’t be more impressed. Living in a place where temperatures can drop significantly, I needed something that would keep him warm and protected during cold and sometimes wet drives, and this cover exceeded my expectations. The insulation seems to be top-notch, retaining heat exceptionally well while still allowing for ventilation to prevent condensation. The materials are very durable and weather-resistant, easily standing up to rain, snow, and wind. The zippers and fastenings are heavy-duty, making it easy to secure without worrying about wear and tear over time. I’ve got my hunting buddies life in the hands of these secure points, and I trust them. One of my favorite features is the roll-up window flaps, which allow for airflow on warmer days while still providing full coverage when needed. It also fits Diesel’s kennel really well, with not too many loose spots. If you’re looking for a high-quality insulated kennel cover that will keep your dog comfortable in all weather conditions, this is it. Highly recommend for hunting dogs, working dogs, or anyone who wants to keep their pup warm and secure outdoors. I imagine I’ll likely take this off during the late spring, and bring it back out in the late fall. I’ve tried a handful of different kennel covers, and this one is miles above the rest in terms of quality. The material feels durable, thick, and well-insulated—like something that’s actually built to last. It’s doing a great job keeping our furry friend cozy, especially when we’re camping or outdoors in colder weather. What I Like: • The insulation really makes a difference—keeps warmth in and the chill out. • The fabric feels heavy-duty, not thin or flimsy like others we’ve used. • The fit is perfect for our extra-large crate and the handles make moving it easier. • It’s clearly made with outdoor use in mind and handles the elements well. What I Don’t Like: • Honestly, no issues at all with this one—it’s held up great so far. I bought this for my large gunner kennel, ita a little tight but it does in fact fit. It's water resistant and seems to hold in heat well. My dog was in heavy fog conditions overnight with Temps into the mid 30s and when I went to check on him he was warm and dry. The only problem I had is one of the bunjie clips for holding the windows open vane list upon initial use so I'm going to send it in to have it replaced. Best value out there. I have other covers and am a big fan of the mud river insulated covers for their durability. This one is hands down the best value out there. Solid construction and seems to have more insulation than the others on market. Window vents on side and front are well designed also. Just what I needed. It fit the Cabela's large gun dog kennel perfect. It was snug but not so tight I had to fight to get it on. Seems sturdy. It had good window placement even when the temp shifted from freezing to 80s it stay a comfortable temp for my hound.
