    • Delicious Fresh Figs, love them - but why the short availability season ?????
I love fresh figs. I eat then right out the container, buying 2 boxes every week once they appear in late spring. I decided to replicate the best-meal-of-my-life , which was ground lamp stuffed into fresh figs, then POOF the fresh figs were gone. They're available, it seems only 3-4 weeks every year. I appreciate Whole Foods even stocks them. But WHY is their season so short ?? ... show more

    • Unpackage immediately to avoid mold
They might’ve been wonderful but grew mold within 12 hours of delivery. If the should’ve been taken out of container immediately, a sticker should instruct on packaging.

It feels like fig season comes & goes so quickly, so I always grab a package when I see them. I bought two packages a week apart from each other online with my Whole Foods order. Let me first say, I grew up with my grandfather who had 6 fig trees in our backyard so the figs were unbeatable. With these, the first package was filled with sweet delicious figs. Juicy and full of flavor. I sliced them & used them as an appetizer with small sliced tomatoes, Kalamata olives, feta, & mint. Such flavor! The second package was awful. The figs had no flavor or juice at all & were so dry. So disappointing. I guess it’s hit or or miss with figs. I’ll try again in mid to late summer with another variety, but none compare to Grandpa’s! ... show more
