I have found that these are the sweetest, most flavorful blackberries I have found in the tri-state area. The only times I can get anything even close is when I get it from one of the local farms when they have them available at the farmers' market. They are always at the perfect ripeness and on the larger size, making them perfect for both eating and baking. They crush easily since they are so ripe, making them not the most studious, and they usually have a shorter shelf life, meaning I have to cook them quickly unless I want to be dealing with mold.
