To start this review I’d like to say it lasts really long IF you don’t get it wet and if you add the carslan setting powder. It’s definitely not water proof or cry proof which I need since I’m emotional and I wear contacts so I use eyedrops a lot. The shade range needs to be expanded for sure, I’m super pale and even the lightest shade was way too dark for me so I had to colour correct it. Also warning, it does oxidize, don’t get this if you’re cool toned since it will oxidize to yellowish colour. The coverage was mediumish, it covered my redness but still looked pretty natural. It separates in my more oily places like under my nose and stuff. It didn’t stay on very well where I sweat and eat which was disappointing but I haven’t found a foundation that even stays there. It’s only smudge proof if you don’t wear powder, I like being super matte so it’s a little inconvenient for me. I would compare it to the JSM cushion though, they’re pretty similar with how they feel and work. Also if you’re sensitive to scent it wouldn’t recommend this, it kinda smells like air dry clay x10 which gave me a headache after awhile. (Edit: I’ve been using this for awhile now and I’m definitely changing my review. It separates horribly everywhere on my face no matter what prep I do, it oxidizes even worse than any other foundations I’ve ever had, and honestly I’m just super disappointed since I saw such good reviews.)

The best foundation ever. I was literally shocked by how light, smooth, and stay put it is. I have used many different brands (MAC, Lancome, Dior, smashbox, etc. etc.) and this one is the best.

I generally don't wear a full face of foundation, but occasionally do. This base is truly full coverage, so in my opinion is something that would work well for being photographed or being on camera. It blends well and doesn't dry to a powdery finish, nor a glossy or glassy look, but a more natural in-between. While it covers well, it doesn't feel heavy, which is always a plus. I don't think this would work well for outdoors in hotter weather or in any situation where it would get wet or exposed to sweat. It does tend to break down with sweating, as evidenced when I decided to wear it out for the day when it got up to over ninety degrees. I am a heavy face-sweat-er, though, so mileage may vary. My only other issue is that it is a bit too fragranced for me, and I think it would be so for anyone sensitive to fragrances on their face/near their nose. In my opinion, this is a budget-friendly price for a full-size foundation. Worth it if you are looking for full coverage and don't plan to be sweating or near water.

It's County Fair week in my area of the world. Seemed like a perfect time to try out this Carslan Black Magnet Liquid Foundation. It advertises that it is 24hour Long lasting, full coverage, and has a natural finish. Some of that I will agree with! I went for P02, Light, because I have very fair skin but during the summer it is not quite light enough to be considered for P01, Fair. It feels light on the skin, and a bit cool. Blends out easily enough. I used far too much in my pictures, one squirt per cheek was really more than enough. County Fair Week in a high humidity area means being out in the horrid high humidity and dabbing sweat a LOT. The water proof and sweat proof claim is where I knocked a star off. When hot, it feels very heavy on the skin. I tried to let sweat stay where it came out, but tracks were forming along the forehead where the foundation was running so I dabbed at my face to remove sweat periodically, no wiping, and by the end of the afternoon most of the foundation was gone. It is definitely not sweat and water proof. But it does have nice coverage and would do well for sedate days, like working in an office with air conditioning.

I ordered this foundation in natural and it looked pretty light yellow when I first applied it but it blended nicely (I am typically a light fair neutral). It feels pretty thin when you are applying it and eventually smooths out. I did feel as though I had to use a bit of product since I tried to test it out for the first time and get a feel of how it holds up throughout the day. It was comfortable on and didn't feel drying. It provided moderate coverage without feeling caked on. It actually looked nice throughout day and didn't really come off until 9 hours later because I wiped my nose. This is comparable to the higher end brands of makeup but at half the cost. I definitely recommend getting this foundation! Just find a shade that works for you.

I am a big fan of this brands skin care products and was excited to try this liquid foundation. I ordered the wrong shade but still tried it as a highlight under my eyes. This foundation is good! It blends well and stays in place. One pump puts out alot of product so pump wisely. I also love the subtle pleasant scent of this makeup. Overall, it’s good!
