  • Five stars!
Color: Black
I used this kit to fix some damage on my car seats and my couch, and I'm genuinely impressed at how well it worked. It's way easier than I expected and actually delivers professional-looking results. The repair process is straightforward: The step-by-step instructions are clear enough that I didn't need to overthink it. Clean the area, apply the adhesive, fill imperfections with the filler, then seal with the fixing agent. The three-component system actually makes sense and works together logically. The results look professional: I was skeptical that a DIY kit could match the appearance of professional repair work, but the finished areas blend surprisingly well. The repaired spots on my car seats look restored rather than obviously patched. It's not invisible, but it's way better than the damage was. The color matching is helpful: The fact that it's designed specifically for black leather means no guessing or color blending. I just applied it and didn't have to worry about getting the shade right. That simplification makes a real difference for someone doing this for the first time. The waterproof protection works: My car seats get spilled on occasionally, and the repaired areas are holding up well to moisture. They're not getting darker or cracking like they did before. The durability seems solid so far. The formula is genuinely non-toxic: I was worried about harsh fumes while working indoors on my couch, but the smell is minimal. It's comfortable to use without needing special ventilation or protective equipment beyond basic common sense. The cost savings are real: Fixing my car seats and couch damage with this kit cost way less than professional restoration or replacement would have. That's a huge advantage if you've got multiple damaged areas. Where it could improve: The kit works best on smaller damage areas. For extensive damage or severe wear, you might need multiple kits or professional help. Also, the results depend partly on your application skill—uneven application shows more than professional work would. Real talk: This kit does what it promises. It's accessible for beginners, it produces decent results, and it costs way less than professional repair. Perfect if you've got worn leather furniture or damaged car seats and want to restore them without major expense. Definitely recommend if you're willing to put in some effort and want to refresh damaged leather or vinyl surfaces. ... show more

  • A Small Kit That Gave My Worn Sofa a Second Life
Color: Black
I picked up this leather repair kit when the armrests of my sofa started peeling, and honestly I expected mediocre results from a small five piece set. The pieces are compact and neatly sized, everything fits in a drawer, and nothing bulky takes over a shelf in a normal home. Before touching anything visible, I tested the color compound on the back panel where nobody would look, and the black blended in so well that it gave me confidence to work on the armrests. The set separates the filler paste from the color compound, so I used the thicker filler to rebuild the deeper cracks, layered the color over the top, and pressed the grain texture in with the small spatula while each coat was still soft. There is a faint solvent smell while you work, so I opened a window, and it was gone once everything dried. Coverage went further than I expected, each armrest had about six inches of peeling and both were finished, along with a scratch on the car seat and a cracked corner on a recliner, with product still left in every pot. The surface dried to the touch in about twenty minutes, and I let it cure overnight before anyone sat down, after which the finish was smooth and even with a slight sheen that settled after gentle buffing, and the material feels supple rather than stiff. Three weeks in, with daily sitting on the armrests and daily driving on the car seat, the patched spots still look solid, with no lifting or cracking at the edges and nothing rubbing off on clothing. The repaired area no longer catches on fabric either, which was my biggest worry with peeling material. Versatility proved real, since the same routine handled the genuine leather recliner, the faux leather sofa, and the bonded leather seat without any adjustment. The application does take patience, and a steady hand matters, because rushing leaves visible edges, which is my one real complaint. Even with that learning curve, the value for money is hard to argue with when the alternative is replacing a sofa or paying for professional reupholstering, and the results genuinely hold up in everyday use. ... show more

  • Completely revived worn leather bolster and cracks—seamless finish and easy to apply!
Color: Black
I picked up this Quadence leather and vinyl repair kit to tackle some noticeable claw scratches, bolster wear, and hairline cracking on a black leather sofa and car seat, and it completely exceeded my expectations! It saved me hundreds of dollars compared to professional reupholstery or replacement. Here is what makes this repair kit stand out: * Comprehensive Multi-Step System: Unlike cheap one-step markers that rub off in days, this kit includes specialized compounds for every phase: repair adhesive, patch/filler cream for deep gouges, black coloring compound, and a fixing/sealing agent to lock everything in. * Complete Tool Assortment Included: It comes with practically every accessory needed to do the job properly—backing cloth/mesh for tears, application spatulas, detail brushes, sandpaper for blending edges, and a textured grain paper/sponge for matching surface finish. * True Matte-Satin Black Match: The black pigment blends naturally into genuine, faux, PU, and bonded leather without looking like shiny plastic paint or leaving an obvious discolored patch. * Durable & Flexible Hold: Once cured, the compound flexes and stretches naturally with the upholstery when you sit down. It doesn't dry stiff, peel up at the edges, or crack under body weight, and it doesn't transfer residue onto clothing. Application Tip: Surface prep is key. Clean the area thoroughly with alcohol or a mild degreaser to remove body oils before starting. Apply thin, gradual layers rather than one thick glob, lightly feathering out the edges with the spatula. Letting each coat dry fully (or speeding it up with a hair dryer on low heat) before applying the fixing coat gives an invisible, factory-smooth repair. If you have pet scratches, surface cracks, or peeling on car seats, couches, jackets, or office chairs, this all-in-one kit makes DIY restoration straightforward and highly effective! ... show more

  • Works as intended; a little messy.
Color: Black
Overall this kit works as intended. All the steps involved may seem a bit much when you begin, but you come to understand that they are each needed. The process involved is somewhat longer than you may have anticipated, but with reason. I started first with my office. (a nice looking fake leather) chair. It was near a corner seam so it wasn't an easy flat surface. I scuffed up the surface and used the adhesive to put a cut piece of the fabric provided over the hole I had. This proved to be a bit messy because the adhesive is not a fast acting as you would like (making it easier to use but longer to get into place). Once I had it in place I let it dry fully. The fabric makes for a matrix for the filler cream to hold, which was the next step. Like I said, time is required for this process. So, apply the cream and let dry. After that, thankfully my chair was black so I didn't have to color-match the leather compound. I was here I may have been a little messy, but black is forgiving is it not. Once again, let dry, and finish with the fixing agent. All told, about 3 days (barring going to work and otherwise living). I will say this kit is worth the effort. I messed up my chair and I was able to patch it up, and it won't worsen. You get a very ample supply of materials, and if you run out of the patch fabric, its easy to think of plenty of other fabrics that would work just as easily. But I do wish they had included more involved instructions. Maybe a booklet, nothing fancy, just something more worthy than a 3-fold under-windshield-wiper type insert advertising a fly-by night dentist/tattoo artist sort. This is a good kit - show people how to use it My patch job is holding. Not the best looking patch job, but I'll get better. You could spend 15 bucks a lot worse. ... show more

  • ~Works great for car seat repairs~
Color: Black
~Works great for car seat repairs~ Not only is it a great value for the money, the color black is spot on for my Mercedes, nice appearance when finished. Step by step instructions make this an ease to use. Can be put on thick or thin to get the exact amount to fill in your issues. When I got done you could hardly see the difference from what I fixed to what the seat looked like. Blended in great making it look like it was never fixed unless you look super super close. ... show more

  • Good Option for Small DIY Repairs
Color: Black
This looks like a useful kit to keep around for small repairs on black furniture or automotive interiors. I especially like that the listing includes adhesive and filler rather than only a recoloring product. The fixing agent is also a nice addition since it’s intended to add another protective step after the repair. Overall, the kit looks fairly straightforward for someone who wants to handle minor leather or vinyl damage at home. ... show more

  • I’m glad I was able to repair the driver seat of my car
Color: Black
I finally had a chance to use this kit to repair the driver’s seat in my car, and overall I’m pretty happy with the results. The top portion of my seats is bonded leather, but the sides are vinyl, and the vinyl had started cracking and showing some wear. The kit was relatively straightforward to use, and it did a good job of improving the appearance of the damaged areas. It’s not going to make an older seat look brand new, but it definitely made the cracks and worn areas less noticeable and gave the seat a much better overall appearance. I especially appreciated that this kit is intended for both leather and vinyl, since my seat has both materials. For a DIY repair, I think it’s a good option and certainly worth trying before spending money on professional repair or replacement. ... show more
