Okay SO. A super honest review from a BH die hard.... The things I like: I do enjoy this balm. It glides on smoothly and gives "corporate goth" vibes, which is totally my vibe. The hue makes your teeth look whiter just like Black Honey, and the price is great. Also, I love that I don't have to worry about losing this because it was a 2pack. Things I don't love: Personally I feel like this balm has way too much pigment. At least twice as much, so I can't apply too much of it or it just looks like a plum lip. I wouldn't call it buildable if you want that balmy look. The formula is also thinner so it's not super moisturizing imo. It's also more blackberry than what warm black honey tone. To make it a dupe, I apply a coral nude balm first, and put a little of this on top. I still like it, I still use it. But it could be improved if it's supposed to be a dupe.

I have purchased multiple times now! I know this is likely targeted to ladies with richer, darker skin than my vampirically white, translucent skin and pale lips. When you see this, it truly is dark as blood at midnight, yet goes on silky and sheer and makes my lips soft, supple, and NATURALLY alive looking. I'm in love with this product. It's not thick and gooey, but sheer, and makes my lips feel slippery.

What a fabulous product! Lightweight, moisturizing, and tinted, this lip gloss applies smoothly without feeling sticky. Even though I read reviews stating that the "black" shade wasn't truly black, I was skeptical until I tried it myself. While it may appear black in the tube, it honestly doesn’t apply or look black on my lips. As someone who is extremely pale, I would expect any hint of black to be quite noticeable, and there is none. I would describe the color as a dark cherry, but it mostly just darkens my natural lip color.

If you’re looking for a “black honey” shade dupe, this is pretty close to the Clinique original. I haven’t tried the Clinique “pink honey” shade, but this appears to also be a shade dupe for that. HOWEVER, part of the reason the original is so popular is the formula and the way it looks on the lips. It’s hydrating but not greasy feeling or looking. It has a balmy texture and a little heft to the formula, so it stays on your lips for a little while. The original is sheer, but builds well, all while keeping that “natural lips” aesthetic. This brand’s formula is much thinner and glossier than the original. It feels less hydrating on your lips, very slick and almost oily, but doesn’t sink in or feel like a lip balm. It doesn’t last on your lips very long at all. The pros: 1) great colors that dupe the originals 2) very affordable 3) nice packaging The cons: 1) thin almost greasy texture 2) shorter lasting time on lips 3) not hydrating (but not a product that dries out your lips either!) 4) more saturated color so less natural looking if you apply too much

I like this more than I thought I would! It’s lightweight but still balmy and can be layered for a glossier or darker look. I don’t like a heavy look, and much prefer more natural, so I’m a big fan. Affordable but comparable to other tints out there. I’m not big on trends but I use lip stains, which can be drying. I’ve been looking for alternatives that provide more moist, but I didn’t want to a chance spending more money on something that ends up not working for me. I came across this when looking for something to file my same day cart, lol. Another reviewer mentioned it’s comparable to the currently trending major brand, and I agree. Sharing a pic of half my mouth for comparison to no product, and then full mouth.

If you’re on a budget and can’t afford the real thing. It applies smoothly and feels like nothing on my lips which is great cause I have sensory issues. I like how you can build on the dark colored one, and the pink is just a little enhancement to my natural lip color. My only issue is I wish the packaging was easier to tell apart, but that’s something I will probably have to take care of myself. But over all a good purchase!
