I have worked in apparel design and use to buy flocked fabric as a replacement for real velveteen on girls dresses. This is not the same stuff. It is really stiff and better suited to drawer or box lining. It has a stiff taffeta backing. If you want something like this to line a jewellery box then this would be ideal.
