I have a 200+ year old house in NY and I make as much use of the naturally growing materials as possible. I regularly make wattle beds (raised garden beds from twigs) and therefore I need to pound a lot of small posts into the ground for the frames. This pounder has been great, it works well for me (66 year old moderately strong female) and I use it a lot. It's not overly heavy for me but it does the job. A larger, taller (I'm only 5'5.5" 130lb) person might want a beefier/bigger pounder, but this works great for an "average" person of "average" strength/height/weight.

It works well enough, as long as you don't get too overzealous with it, due to short internal tube length. Make sure to be on the side AWAY from any protruding pieces of metal T or U posts. Failure to follow that precaution will likely lead to head injury...like I experienced. Lesson learned.

Look, it’s just a hollow hunk of steel that slams posts into the ground. Pretty hard to screw that up. We used it for about 30 posts and it did great.

UNSAFE!! Far too short for taller t-posts!! Be sure to grab a helmet while using and proceed at your own risk. This tool kicked back on me two different times leaving giant gashes and sent my teenager for stitches. It’s heavy and well made but not worth the risk. I’ve used other drivers for years and never had issues like this.

Does the job but the pipe should be longer have had it catch on the top of the post as you can't get a full swing with the shorter pipe

I wish I would’ve bought one of these sooner. I’ve been putting up temporary fences for my dogs for years and always use a sledgehammer. I had no idea that these were even a thing it made it so much easier to put up our fencing. They are not too heavy and good quality definitely easy to use.
