I read some complaints about this tool being useless and I couldn't understand why. I have a deck 20' x 15' and painted the entire area between the planks with one brush and the pad is still intact. I used a take out container to hold my stain that was a perfect size. The only issue I can imagine is if the deck was constructed incorrectly with the planks installed without enough gape spacing between each plank. If the planks aren't spaced properly, don't purchase this product-it won't work for you. This tool was a breeze for me to use on my deck. I think it actually took about 3.5 hours to complete my entire deck. I'm very pleased and I didn't need to purchase any additional pads! Great tool and inexpensive too! ... show more

I painted my deck then used this between the boards. The pads wear out way to fast but it’s better than Any item I’ve Found to paint between my deck boards.

Works well for painting, but I also used it to sand between deck boards. I took velcro backed sandpaper (round discs) and bent and cut it to fit the paint pad. Additional adhesive-backed velcro can also be attached to the pad. Saved my knees and back when cleaning mold/algae from between deck boards. ... show more

This is a great tool to stain or paint between deck slots. This was so much better than being down on my hands and knees with a brush as I was able to stand and do the work
