It’s been great so far. This is a 3 year review on the BKC TK122 12’ 9”. My model does not have the U at the end. Wife bought me this for my Birthday in 2019. First of all, it’s heavy for me lift. (I’m 56 years old) Broke the rear washer off my Expedition trying to load it there by myself. It’s not hard to drag around and pull out of the water. I did find a weird little attachment that sticks with suction cups to the back glass for me to load and unload it. I’m 200lbs, wife is 100lbs. We cruise around in this thing like it’s nothing. It’s never tipped over, never even came close. My two sons that are now 12 and 14 use it for going out into deeper water and swimming. They can get off and on with no problems. The wife and I use it mainly for fishing in the Mountain Fork River in Oklahoma (Beavers Bend State Park) for trout. We have not had it in rapids, but it does well going against the water flow of the river. I did not really like the “Water tight” compartments. I’ve found water in mine every time that we used it. The door clips are always coming loose. I’m sure it would be an easy fix, but I’m lazy. There are mounting studs and n the back for something, no clue because no paperwork came with it. Shipping was kinda funny. Came home from work and it was sitting on the curb right by the road. I would recommend this item, although they have gone up in price $500 in 3 years. I paid less than $1000 in 2019

Read the reviews and if you don't have time to babysit the transport, find a different boat. The customer service with BKC is fantastic, they just need to contract with a better carrier. I am currently in Wichita, KS where the boat will be delivered and appears that this city is not within the delivery area of the transport company used by BKC. I drove to KC (twice) in a cluster created by the transport company, but finally took possession of the boat. I've not had it out on the water yet so that review is coming. The delivery service (AM Transportation) is terrible. The driver I finally met was great, but the system stinks. BKC did what they could to make the cluster right but I still lost two days and a lot of travel to wait for a 4 hour delivery window that dispatch could not shrink. I finally talked dispatch out of the route drop sites, jumped the route and the drivers handed off the Kayak without a hitch (at a different location than planned). They would not have made their 4 hour window for my delivery.

Shipping was slow when arrived one papple was defective and serial numbers missing .paddle was replaced and number I was told to do my self overall quality not what I expected for the price

I ordered this kayak so my 13 yo daughter and I could go fishing together, as well as solo trips and other leisure activities. I could not be happier! The kayak is very stable, easy to paddle, and can move along pretty well with both of us paddling. It is light enough for us to get off the car and into the water with ease (I can do it myself, but with a bit more effort). The kayak is excellent quality with lots of the extras you find on higher priced units. I LOVE this kayak, no regrets at all! Now, about BKC customer service, I had a shipping issue, which was not BKCs fault (steep driveway and nervous driver) but they were responsive, and worked to get me the kayak as quickly as possible, they were top notch through the entire process and I am as satisfied with them as I am with the kayak!

This is a fantastic kayak! Lightweight, functional and fun! Installed trolling motor because I live on a tidal river in South Carolina! Comfortable because of the design and you are sitting inside a kayak. Seats are comfortable for the four or five hours we are out. The 2 dry storage areas are great for each of us! Just added the anchor wizard to it and now I think all upgrades I want are done!

I liked the color choices and the look. I found the quality/workmanship of the chairs need improvement at this price. I don't expect them to last long. Upon arrival one of the double stitching on one of the chairs was already unraveled, will have to redo the stitching.
