Yes, I did say "friends" (plural) because I loved my first one so much that I ordered another one to use while the original one sits in the bath. Ha! Now I'm not one to get excited about inanimate objects, but when I woke up to find ice (and I'm talking a LOT of ice) still in my tumbler after my first night with my original baby, well I about had a breakaway! And for you nonbelievers, the heat down here has been atrocious lately, so I left my tumbler #2 in my car yesterday when I went to visit a friend in the hospital. Mind you, my car was sitting in the sun while I was in the air conditioning for about 4 hours, so when I plopped down in the front seat and grabbed the steering wheel I thought for sure I had been transported to a third world country! I couldn't believe that I didn't have third degree burns on my hands! When I finally managed to compose myself and start the car, my inside thermometer read 117 degrees! I was instantly parched just thinking about it, so I reached over to grab my tumbler #2, which was warm to the touch. I peeked through the clear top and what did I see??? ICE..in my drink!! 117 degrees and there's still ice in my drink! Go figure! I'll have these two tumblers until I die or they do, at which time I will search frantically on Amazon for more. I love this cup and this is the second one I’ve bought. They stay hot for hours on end I’ve burned myself once or twice because of how hot it keeps things. It’s easy to clean but I dropped this cup which left no dents or anything but the cap broke and the only way to get a new cap it seemed was to buy a new cup but I emailed the company and they got back to me and sent me a new cap for free! i love this color, I love how tall and skinny the tumbler is, it just looks so fashionable. in terms of functionality, I think it's great. it holds a decent amount of coffee but is easier to grip than others due to its shape. It doesn't fit in as many cup holders but the lid is well sealed and from what I can tell when shut won't spill a drop. It comes with a metal straw and straw cleaner which I enjoy, I think the straw is cute. this thing works great for coffee (warm or cold), tea, smoothies, and just about any other drink. love it! ... show more

It does what is advertised - it will keep your water contained, and it will keep it cold. But the opening is a little small and oddly shaped so it's hard to take a sip from without also gulping some air. Makes it a little difficult to take my meds in the morning if I leave this on my bedside table, which is sort of entirely why I bought it, so it's a little annoying.
