  • Quite sturdy considering its size
Size: 2.6M
I should have looked at the description a little more. I thought it collapsed all the way down, and would have been a little more compact. In fact, it looked EXACTLY as the picture shows. Silly me. I purchased the ladder to be able to look at the solar panels on the top of our camper trailer. Our old A-frame ladder was heavy and bulky. Pros: I like how this collapsible ladder is easy to carry and store. We tried it out in the house first. I was able to climb up to the top of our kitchen cabinets and clean many years of dust and ick, that I was too short to reach previously. Cons: We are a bare foot family. I climbed the ladder and the rungs are a little uncomfortable after a minute or so of standing on them. In the future I may have to wear shoes and see if this remedies this issue. Maybe there is a small platform that I can get to help distribute my weight and make prolonged standing more comfortable. This ladder is made for flat even ground. There isn't a way to adjust the feet for uneven ground. When camping there is often uneven ground. I will update if this is an issue with stability, as it hasn't been tested in camp action yet. All in all, I'm happy with my purchase. I would recommend to a friend and would repurchase this brand if necessary. I was not compensated for my review. ... show more

  • BIVATIA Telescoping Ladder A Frame: 8.5FT Aluminum A Frame Ladder Telescopic
Size: 8.5FT A Frame
Really nice ladder was just the perfect height to get me to the gutter to clean out. Great price, good quality, seems pretty sturdy I like it a lot. The only problem I originally had was there was no mention of the plastic cylinders inside the ladder were the stabilizer was to slide in. I did not know to remove them so it would be very helpful if that would be mentioned in the directions. Would actually be nice if they had a step by step with pictures explaining how to raise & lower the ladder. The direction are a little vague and it would be nicer if the print was larger. Overall I like the ladder and gave it 5 stars. ... show more

  • Very compact and rustproof aluminum.
Size: 3.8M/12.5FT
Great for leaning against a wall to climb up. Feels solid. Easy to use. The click locks are safe and turn green when locked in place for use.

  • Perfect Attic Ladder!.. Needs One Small Improvement Though
Size: 3.8M/12.5FT
I needed a collapsable ladder to take deep into my attic space to replace a failed attic-fan motor. (Fully extended folding A-frame ladders won't cut it as the roof framing would prevent maneuverability.) This collapsable ladder did the trick. Feels good and trust worthy. The working pitch angle should not be any less than 68-80 degrees from vertical as I fear any more may make the ladder flex considerably and could be dangerous. (Come on BIVATIA, please post a recommended working pitch angle!) The soft retraction is a much welcomed plus over their competition, especially in tight quarters such as in an attic. Had no issues accessing the different extended height options as well, not sure what people are complaining about here. I only wish that each step were angled back a little so that the steps would be parallel to the ground when the ladder is fully extended & pitched forward. Right now the bottom of each foot must rest on the step edge, not sure footed on the full ribbed step surface. That small modification would earn this ladder a 5+ Star-Rating in my book. Otherwise a great ladder. ... show more

  • Easily Storable
Size: 3.8M/12.5FT
Used the ladder a couple of time to remove debris from our roof and repair a gutter that had come loose! The ladder is easily extended and very easily collapsed again! When collapsed it fits in a very small space in the garage! For light home owner around the house maintenance this ladder is perfect. ... show more

  • Very heavy. Cannot lift safely from top rungs down to lower rungs. Must lift from bottom up.
Size: 3.8M/12.5FT
This is a very heavy duty ladder. It is well constructed and fairly stable. However, it is very heavy to lift and carry. I'm not sure about the safety of this ladder. If you start extending the ladder from the bottom rungs upward, the rungs lock in place securely. However, once you reach your height, it is difficult to raise additional rungs. You have to tip the ladder backwards to raise higher rungs, which is not optimal. The lowest rung is very difficult to get started because you have to lift the weight of all the other rungs in order to raise the bottom rung. If you start lifting the rungs from the top, they will raise, but the slightest pressure causes them to collapse. Overall, I am returning this ladder because it is too heavy, not easy to extend to get to any place of height, and I'm skeptical of the safety of this ladder. ... show more
