Despite the other review, this is incredibly easy to set up. It tells you exactly what to do on screen after it boots up and provides a qr code and everything to make it as easy as possible. Step 1: assemble. Pretty much only goes together one way, bug open rectangle piece goves over the big open rectangle screen. Use long screws from the top down and use the brass hexagonal standoffs to secure it to the board. The only other plate goes on the bottom and goes in the only direction that makes sense and uses the only 4 matching screws left which are shorter. Done. Step 2: scan QR or connect your phone to the wifi displayed on the solo miner screen. It will take you to an interface for the miner where you can connect it to your wifi. I recommend setting up a separate isolated vlan and creating a wifi ssid that lives only on the vlan but FEAR NOT you can literally just connect it to your regular wifi ssid and its fine 💁 Step 3: enter crypto/bitcoin wallet id. This is legit the hardest part and if you dont know how to do this, youll want to watch some online videos of cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, and crypto wallets because its just good info to know. Anyway just add you wallet id to where it says wallet id. Step 4: save and wait. Hit save and wait for 7,0000 years to hit a block! Roughly. Roughly 7000 years but its still cool and absolutely -nit- difficult to set up. Extra: if you mess up hold the innermost button for 15 seconds to reset and start over its literally that easy. Anyway, works great so far, running at about 900 which is better than 450 and for the size/wattage its better than most solo miners. Have fun and dont forget to check on it!

It worked for a short time and then it just stopped working. Now it will not reboot. I had first had a difficult time with the installation. this was a waste of money for us. did not work as advertised.

Takes a little computer savviness to set up, but once past the installation, it's a nice readout, and mostly serves as a clock. (or a good ticker, depending what screen you choose) Find the ssid in your wifi list, 192.168.4.1 (I believe it only works in a Chrome-based browser? Other browsers couldn't connect), enter your wifi info and make sure you put your own Bitcoin wallet address!! For everyone getting stuck at 80% loading, you need to change the pool address in the same page as your wifi and wallet. (I used pool.nerdminers.org:3333 , with the backup as miner.mintsolo.com:3333, no passwords). Board can also be repurposed for other DIY projects. Enjoy! 4 stars because it needs a constant power source. I found it listed that it can run off cellphone charger battery packs? However, it has no onboard battery of its own.

I found this to be a gimmick desk toy that is a little better than a clock. Which is basically what it is advertised as being. Setup was fairly simple but there were no directions included so I can see how some people might have some problems putting the covers on. Connecting to WiFi was simple however I had to YouTube how to access and edit the settings after the initial setup. THESE BOARDS COME SETUP WITH A CRIPTO WALLET YOU DONT HAVE ACCESS TO. So if by some lucky chance you hit it won’t go to you unless you change the wallet settings. This is not explained anywhere from the seller. That said I don’t regret the purchase and even if I don’t hit at least I have a desk clock.

This thing is a toy. Don't expect to mine for a few days and hit a block. Took about an hour to assemble, play with/ setup, and get it going. What took the longest was actually finding my bitcoin address (through coinbase). Setting this thing up is similar to setting up a network camera. You connect to it through your phone, go to the IP address (192.168.4.1 on the address bar will get you to the wifi setup), configure the settings to your liking (brightness, network address you're using, time zone, etc.), restart it and all set. There are a few options for display screens. The main page displays the IP address, running/ up time, current bitcoin value, packets received/ sent, hash rate, difficulty rate. The second page displays time, hash rate, bitcoin value and date. The last screen has a list of current crypto currencies, such as ethereum, DOGE, SOL, and a few others. I'm far from an expert, but did learn a bit about mining through setting up the miner and simple google searches. Again, this thing is a toy, fun to look at and mess with. You're better off playing the lottery than trying to make money off of this thing. I will be giving a few of these away to friends and family for Christmas.

Easy to assemble and plug, after that it's very difficult. There is no clear method for this device and once I get it straight I'll provide an update if it's worthwhile. It is a good table clock.

Easy to set up and get running. They use very low power. You can get creative with a way to display these. I bought 4 and mounted them in a picture frame. They look cool and futuristic. Plus a chance to make a lot of money? Why not?!
