This cleaner does a decent job of cleaning stains. I used it with the Bissel Little Green portable cleaning unit on our area rug and some steps. It didn't remove all of the stains but it's not entirely the product's fault. These were set in stains in areas of high traffic that weren't cleaned for over a year. My toddler colored on my off-white couch with a purple marker. I tried folex and wasn't able to get the stain out. I bought this for my spot bot as a last resort. It immediately took the stain out.
