The support of the cork sole is greatly appreciated and one of the reasons I keep coming back to Birkenstock. The straps are easily adjustable and for comfortably. I bought these shoes back in 2016 and 3 years later they are still going strong! They definitely look scuffed and worn, but the comfort they provide is still the same. I've travelled with these shoes so many places and they are amazing for long days of walking. Only thing I wouldn't recommend is getting them wet, they take forever to dry and stain your feet from the leather dye they use. Aside from the small crack in the left shoe, these things are perfect. I wear them with everything. If you want good quality shoes don't hesitate to buy! I also think splurging for the leather straps have definitely made these shoes last longer. ... show more

Love Birkentstocks, been wearing them for 40+ years, I was looking forward to a "lighter" version but this sandal was too narrow (though I ordered the same size I always have - the style was good, it was "lighter" as I wanted, just didn't fit my foot, :(

I'm between a size 8.5M and 9M in women's shoes depending on the brand, and have a slightly wide foot (on rare occasions I will get a wide size, usually I just size up) and was nervous about how the sizing ran in Birkenstock. Just in case it didn't work out, I made sure the product I was ordering came from Amazon fulfillment and made sure it offered free returns/exchanges. I purchased the 39M and was surprisingly very happy with it. I was worried about the sandal being too small since it didn't come in half sizes, but it actually fit just right. I was worried about the toe strap being too constricting (I have chubby toes) but they are comfortable as well. Very happy with the adjustable straps, they accommodate larger feet. The sandals are still a little stiff, but with each wear (I've had it now for a couple of weeks) they have been softening up. I am very pleased with the support, fit and comfort of the shoe. ... show more

I bought these after wearing knock offs for years. Most of them never fit my foot right and to keep them on I had to scrunch my toes to keep them on because the last hole was still too loose. These can be adjusted with holes that allow you to fit the shoe to your foot perfectly! Also, the support you get from Birkenstocks is like nothing I have worn before. The quality of the shoe is holding up like they are brand new even though I have worn them every day this spring and summer. If you are on the fence about spending the money for these- just do it. These sandals are extremely comfortable and such high quality. Easy to slip on and wear all day. Personally I like to wear my Birks around the house as slippers for a few days so they can mold to my foot/break in the leather a little more. Once you break these in after a few wears, they’ll be your new favorite pair of shoes! These are absolutely unisex as well, the fit/width is definitely designed for all.
