So I was looking at my sandals today and saw that the bottom was starting to peel off. The straps are a little worn and starting to separate with some small tears. The bottoms are pretty flat with barely and tread visible. Foot bed is condensed and peeling at the sides. All which led me back to Amazon to look at how old they. I ordered them 4 years ago. I probably wear them daily from June to October. So yeah I'll be buying another pair. 4 years is a pretty good lifespan for a comfortable shoe. ... show more

04/25 Wow, my first Birkenstock, be careful they are addictive, after trying them for few weeks, super comfortable I got 2 more tennis shoes and boots. Love it 05/26 update ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 392 days and counting in my Birkenstocks… and I still love them more every day. I originally bought this pair just to wear around the house, but they became the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned in my life. I wore them outside a few times, and that’s exactly why I decided to buy a second pair — keeping the new pair indoors and using this older pair outside. What I love most is how beautifully they age. The leather changes, the soles shape perfectly to your feet, and even the buckles developed this gorgeous deeper copper look over time. They honestly get better with wear. Something is really off here. First of all, judging from the packaging. these shoes had already been returned to Amazon at least once (paper torn, tags removed, straps unbuckled.) These shoes were NOTHING like the same ones I bought less than a year ago. The "soft bed sole" is way too soft -- not the usual Birkenstock firm flexibility of the soft bed. The leather straps are very soft and prone to stretching. I ordered a narrow as I always do, and the straps would need to have additional holes punched to fit. In addition, the right shoe straps were not the same fit as the left -- would need to be much tighter than the left. Almost seemed as if each shoe was from two different pairs. Overall, this was not the quality I expect from Birkenstock (or Amazon). These could be "knockoffs" -- I don't know. I am returning them -- and ordering the right shoe from Zappos for $30.00 more. Typical Birkenstock. Love them. But e careful when ordering the sizes came in I different ta I ordered Evidently they only had a couple sizes but accepted what ever you put in. This only applied to a couple Pairs so I don’t know if t wassecific co. Just be really cautious Mae sure your order match what you actually wanted. But they are good about refunding ... show more
