The length fits well, but the heel has been made somewhat narrower than my previous pair which makes them harder to simply slip on. Maybe this is because of the unisex nature of the sandals. Wish they were more comfortable from the beginning but read other reviews noting a break in period. Guess that's true. The leather straps on the left sandal are a bit uncomfortable and leaving a sore spot on my middle toe. I expect that to go away once adequately broke in. I placed my order on January 1st, and these Birkenstocks were at my door on the afternoon of January 3rd. First time I've tried the soft footbed, and so far, they feel great. Can't see any reason why they won't give me years of walking comfort, as all my past Birkies have done.
