Been buying Birks for a few decades now and they feel as good as ever. These are definitely authentic and have excellent build quality. That said you should know that I am and always have been ONE FULL SIZE LOWER THAN THEIR LISTED USA-EQUIVALENT SIZE (I am normally a size 8.5, but I take a size EU40/US7.5 in Birkenstock. This is how it has always been -- it's not because its fake, its because for some reason, Birkenstock was made for people with larger feet. Also keep in mind that some vendors have the Narrow and Wide versions -- wide is the "Normal" so be careful if you select "N" for some vendors as you may be selecting "Normal" (Wide). In either case, I would clarify before purchasing. Generally speaking if Nike shoes fit you well at your TRUE size, get the narrow -- if you're like most people and a Nike shoe requires a larger size, then you probably should go with the "Normal" wide. But again, your TRUE size is probably one size too big in this brand. I would also find a local store to verify your size if you haven't purhcased Birkenstock sandals before. For me, the $10 off (average discount you'll find online) plus free ship and no tax makes a difference. Might not and be worth trying on a specific pair for others. Be wary of vendors with discounts more than 20% as these are usually fakes of some sort as Birkenstock doesn't discount as often or as much as a general policy. Any case, these are great and are comfortably replacing my last 10 year pair that I neglected and did not repair or take care of for its entire life. FYI, with a little care, these can last quite a long time and Birkenstock will actually repair/refurbish your sandals for a reasonable cost (based on what needs to be done). So up to you how you want to play it -- I have a cousin that has had the same sandals for 16 years because he cares for it and just got it repaired by Birkenstock instead of buying over. ... show more

While this sandal has been around for many years the best thing Birkenstock offers is consistantly high quality shoes which are always comfortable and pleasant in appearance. I bought these particular sandals for my wife who has worn Birkenstock for years and she loves them. They were shipped in a timely manner and are exactly as expected. ... show more

I Can finally say I broke them in a while back and they’re back being one of my top purchases ———- Updated review: After wearing them one time my feet were in excruciating pain. The inside of the shoe is tighter on one side than the other. It seems like it has a big bulk inside that’s uneven and literally hurts my feet SO BAD. ——————- I love my new birks stone! Well, after reading all the reviews I decided to give it a try. Some say they’re fake some say they’re not. My box was not damaged at all. The shoes do not have glue residue or any abnormal stitching. I got mines 40 (Women 9- Men 7). Im a true 9.5-10 in women’s shoes. The size 9 was perfect, since you can adjust the strap. They also smell like genuine leather! I’m very pleased & happy with my purchase. If anything changes I’ll update my review. ... show more

Sooo comfortable, and fit perfectly per the sizing chart. I waited and watched the price and bought them for about $10. less than when I'd first seen them.
