I've had this bag for 3 years. Today the handles on the sides just came apart, even though it was stored in the garage after each use. Overall, I think that is a pretty good run. The strap still works at this point. The only issue I have with it is when I dump it. Used in place of a bucket for leaves and such around pool and yard. Sturdy enough as an interim transfer device prior to disposal into green bin. I got this because there's no path to the lower part of the yard, which means I have to drag the cart down and back up a grassy slope. It's awkward when it's dry, and sometimes very hard to get back up if the cart gets heavy, but when it's rainy or wet? Downright dangerous. I've had bad slips and with a bum knee, am just waiting for the day where I fall and I really can't get back up. I got this to allow me to carry clippings, leaves, etc up the stairs and not mess with the cart at all. So far, so good! It is light and easy to carry, and once I figure out how to fold the flaps over the sides, easy to fill. No more dealing with a heavy cart, just toss this over my shoulder and away I go. I can't speak to durability as I've only used it a few times, but it is well constructed. I have a massive blackberry bramble to dismantle, and I will be pleasantly surprised if it survives getting stuffed with the vines over and over again. UPDATE: I've used this bag every week (filled to the brim) for 18 mns. It's been left out in the rain, snow, occasional ice storm, sun, etc. I tore a hole in the side shoving a branch in and not paying attention. So I basically abused it. Yes, the handles have torn off and the lower part of the large strap ripped away as well over time. Most recently I filled it up with wet leaves and had to bear hug it over to the green waste bin. I still really like it and will absolutely buy it again when it finally falls apart. I'll treat the next one a bit better and see if it lasts longer. ... show more

I bought this, sort of cringing at the price, as a replacement garden basket for my pruning and weeding needs. But I am finding it well worth the price I paid. The bottom, rather than the fabric over wire of my last basket, is a heavy plastic that i think will last a long while without ripping. There is a very nice sturdy handle at the bottom I use to tip the basket into my recycling bin, making it very maneuverable. I have a large rose garden, and the heavy canvas is well able to take on the lethal thorns of the roses and bougainvillea I prune, and considerable weight. I don't need the closing top, but don't find that it gets in my way as I feared it would. I can see how it would be very useful for camping or other uses. Ok product, the only issue is the drawstring piece inside. This becomes a major pain when dumping leaves and sticks. I ended up just cutting it out.
