I live in Chicago and discovered Stan’s Donuts Maple Bars. OMG!! Delish! But I’m not near a store, so I bought this Maple icing hoping for an approximation of the Stan’s Icing. I was blown away when I tasted it. It tastes IDENTICAL to Stan’s Maple icing. It is incredibly delicious and a perfect spreading consistency. I keep it in the fridge and occasionally snack on it by spreading a couple tablespoons on a plate. Gotta put the tub back in the fridge so I don’t take anymore than that little bit. I’m sure I could eat a lot easily. I noted some 1,2, and 3 star reviews. Those are all for a different product, their buttercream frosting. All the 5 star reviews are for this Maple Icing. Buy it! You won’t be disappointed.

I have been baking wedding cakes, birthday cakes, iced cookies, cupcakes and other baked goods for years. I’ve always made my icing from scratch! But because of a recent shoulder surgery I was worn out! I decided to try this for my granddaughter‘s graduation party cupcakes. Ten dozen to be exact! When I open the container I was shocked to see the icing it was so thick, so dark chocolate, and so heavy I somewhat panicked. I put a good amount in a bowl with a little heavy cream and a touch of vanilla, whipped it with my hand mixer and it couldn’t have been more perfect! It was easy to pipe this delicious icing on the cupcakes and the taste was incredible. This is my new go to icing it tasted homemade!

Flavor Name: Buttercream
I thought that this would taste like buttercream as indicated in the title. However, this tastes like generic off the grocery shelf frosting. This is really disappointing considering I spent $60 on 2 tubs thinking this will be Buttercream as indicated. Please don't buy this if you are expecting the sweet buttery flavor of a true Buttercream frosting.

I only use this the frosting to stiffen and stretch my homemade frosting. It takes color well. However, it is not my favorite which is D & K.

The cream is great, I have had it before.. I just would not buy thru Amazon, Because their delivery personal don't have the stones to bring the package bake to the warehouse and let a supervisor know what happened to the package...! Otherwise it's a great product...!
