This filter requires the pump to make it work. If you do not have one, you will need to purchase one. I was not aware as when I asked questions it said it came with everything needed. We had to go back and purchase the pump and hoses. It did not come with clamps for the hoses but my husband was able to use items we already had at home. We do not have any leaks. So far it has been running about two weeks. Our tank was very green from the algae build up. It took about a week to clear our 300 gallon stock tank up once it was set up. Other reviews mentioned the UV light quit working. I will update my review if it does. The price was fair and we are pleased with it.

THE FILTER IS A TERRIFIC PRODUCT. WITHIN AN HOUR OR SO OUR 165 GALLON KOI POND WENT FROM CLOUDY TO CRYSTAL CLEAR. OUR PUMP IS RATED AT 1080 GPH AND IT WORKS JUST FINE PUMPING INTO THE FILTER AND THEN OUT OF THE FILTER TO THE WATERFALL BOX. THE PRODUCT APPEARS TO BE EXTREMELY WELL MADE. IT'S RUGGED AND SOLID. WE DID HAVE SOME ISSUE MAKING THE CONNECTIONS BUT FINALLY USED A BIT OF OILIVE OIL TO SLIDE CONNECTERS TOGETHER. HE CLARITY OF THE WATER NOW MAKES US VERY HAPPY ALONG WITH THE FISH. WELL WORTH THE PRICE INVESTMENT!

I would put zero stars but that’s not possible, I bought a 2100 GPH from Amazon resell it arrived would set up noticed a missing parts, but I had some old fitting in my workshop so I made due. Turns out the UV light doesn’t work and the brace around the middle was cracked. A lot of the parts this are made of cheap plastic that I’m sure we’re not last long. I should’ve just bought brand new because it was like four dollars more as I just noticed…. Shop elsewhere.!

This is the 3rd filter I've gotten for my 1000 gallon pond. It is heavy duty. My pond water is crystal clear so far. It has a self-cleaning feature, and while I do use it, I don't think it cleans the filters very well, so I still remove them and rinse every few weeks. It has so far cleared out the spring algae bloom. I'm pleased with this purchase and my koi are happy.

I didnt think this was going to work but it does. It took it about a week to really clear up and i can see the bottom of my pond now and my fish swimming around. It has done a awesome job. I went from green pea soup to seeing sand at the bottom of the pool. Cleaning it is a breeze. It did have a drip where my water comes out but may have been my hose. A clamp fixed that right up. I highly would recommend this filter. Love it!!

The media could not be loaded. I don’t know why all the returns but this little guy is doing a great job on our koi pond. This filter replaced a high end pond max 2400 which cracked after 5 years. Was not going to pay $500+ for a replacement unit so thought I try this one at 20% the cost of a pond max. Cleans the pond just as well. Would buy this again. We use a 2400 gallon/hour pump and does just fine with the filter. And cleans just as easy as the pond max. No complaints!

I’ll start by saying that I have had this product for about 2 weeks now. It does the job filtering and making the water clean. Durability is lacking though. The morning after trying out the cleaning feature, I woke up to a pond that was nearly half empty. The 2630gph has a cleaning ‘switch’ (that is pumped?) not a crank. This switch remained partially open and slowly drained water all night. The outlet will remain securely closed from now on, making it less convenient. Maybe I’m doing it wrong but it doesn’t seem to clean any of the filter pads anyways. This will not be a repeat purchase.
