I love this cane. I am 5' tall and it is one of the only canes which I could adjust low enough for my height. It is lightweight, yet sturdy. I like the light that is attached. It is good at night or when walking into a dark theater or room. It easily folds, which is a huge advantage in many instances. For example when I am seated in a restaurant, I can easily fold it either half way or 1/3 way and then lay it down under my chair or table so it is not in anybody's way. Also, it is convenient to fold when at a theater, where I can slip it under my seat. This cane has a nice wide pivoting quad base that allows the cane to stand up on its own. The base also adapts to different surfaces, which make it very practical when walking outside. The stand-alone feature allows me to make transitions when I need two hands; such as paying for a bill, or standing and looking at merchandise in a store; basically, doing anything where the use of two hands is necessary. Although, it is quite lightweight, I do have to make sure it is on sturdy ground or leaning on something so it won't topple over when I set it to stand alone. It adjusts for someone a few inches taller than I am, but I definitely recommend this cane for anyone who is 5' 2" or shorter. This cane also comes in a size range for those who are of taller stature.

Overall, this is a good cane. I've been using mine for a month or more now. I appreciate that the height is adjustable. I'm tall, and the extra length helps. I appreciate that it is collapsible, and comes with the clip necessary to *keep* it collapsed. Where it literally falls down on the job: the wider base doesn't make it particularly stable when it's standing on its own. And the last time it fell over, the light in the handle broke. Not sure if I can repair it or not. First I'll need to find the lens. Which has likely rolled behind the toilet, the least accessible place in my house. Did I mention that I'm a bit mobility challenged? Also, the lens housing looks molded in, rather than something removable and replaceable, so I'd have to rely on plastic cement to fix it if I *did* find it. So it goes. The light was useful a couple of times, enough that I'll miss it. But even without it, it's a good and useful cane.

When back spasms made it necessary for my normally active husband to start using a cane, he chose a royal blue one—partly because it’s his favorite color, but mostly because he tends to lose things, and the bright color makes it easier to spot. The built-in light in the handle has been a great addition, making nighttime trips to the bathroom much safer. The claw-like base adds extra stability, and the handle is surprisingly comfortable to grip. He bought the shorter version and it is perfect for his 5'5" frame. One of the best features is that it collapses easily and fits neatly into the included carrying bag, which makes it perfect for his golfing trips.

Big disappointment. The cane will not stand on carpet. It fell, and the end piece and batteries flew out, and they won’t stay in. The strap has already started to ravel. The cane I bought from CVS over three years ago has a completely intact strap: looks new. I am really disappointed.

I like this type of cane for several reasons. It folds up for one. It also comes with a rigid plastic attachment that can be used when you fold it up or you can use the wrist lanyard on the cane to do it. It has a storage bag. It has a pistol grip instead of a bicycle grip. It has a large foot with 4 stoppers (comes with a standard foot too) that gives you a better feel of the ground and more stability. It can stand on its own on level surfaces (not so much on carpet). It has a flashlight in the handle. If I was to redesign this can I would: Aim the flashlight more toward the ground and more toward my next step. Make the pistol grip out of a softer material. Include instructions on changing the foot from the large 4 pad to the single foot. Overall it's a pretty cool looking cane, so I'm giving it 5 Stars.
