This thing rocks the socks. It's just as comfortable as the product it is imitating. You won't be able to fit your whole body on it if you are of above average height, but a pillow helps that immensely.

When I received this it was huge, looked like a massive body pillow. I couldn't get it to look like the photo but I made an acceptable alternative and I find it very comfortable to sit on , no pain in my lower back. The kids love to use this to read or watch a show on and it is so huge that several of them fit at the same time. This is a hard bean sack. Not a beanbag lounger or anything of the sort. The problem is that the washable, smooth, durable cover is made to fit the internal (elasticated) bean bag VERY snugly and there is no “give” room. It is so full and hard, you bounce off if you throw yourself on it. As for lounging? Never going to happen. I actually took the cover off and let some microbeads out of the inner bag to create some space but it didn’t help much. You’d need to practically deflate the whole thing just to make a seat out of this stiff pillow bag. As you can see from the photos, taking the case off and throwing a blanket over it actually solves the issue. Makes my reason for choosing this beanbag (washable cover) redundant, however. ... show more

    • Way too soft, there is no support at all.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS Having had a bean bag chair in the 80s, I thought this would be cool to have. A blast from the past. This bean bag chair is marketed for adults or children and looked big enough to work. However, the soft gray knit material gave me pause it seemed too soft to hold it’s shape. My beanbag chair from the 80s was a shiny vinyl that roughly kept it’s shape. This soft gray bean bag seemed amorphous in shape from the get-go. I could put it on it’s end and it would stay in a column like shape but laying down it sort of squished down and flattened. SITTING Well the proof of the pudding is sitting on it and well, that did not go well. Excited to have a new bean bag chair again, the minute I got it out of the box, I sat, and continued to sit..and sink. Finally I found myself lying on my back on the floor in a puddle of soft material. I’m sure I looked like a turtle flipped over on it’s back. I’m sure my boyfriend observing this could’ve helped me up, if he stopped laughing. SUMMARY Subsequent forays into using this bean bag chair resulted in something that looked more like a yoga maneuver. I don’t understand the choice of material. It gives so much, this blob does not offer any level of support. I could never get it to look like a supportive back, unless I piled the whole thing against the wall while I sat on the floor in front of it. I’m considering it’s use is best for my grandkids to watch TV by. My only concern is that if one of their dogs gets hold of this soft material, it will not last long. The other possible use is as a yoga restorative pose device. However even in that case, the support is structured and even with molding, I’ve been frustrated with this bean bag, to hold any weight. Reading other reviews, it seems it could be the amount of “beans” in the bag. This one seemed to have too little and other reviewers complained on it having too much. Just like the 3 bears, we need the right amount. Years ago I purchased a Japanese pillow that was filled with buckwheat husks. Along with the pillow you were given a spare bag of buckwheat husks, to adjust the pillow firmness. Especially in that case, these compressed over time. Maybe such a thing is needed here. However you would think they would measure out the same amount of pellets to each bean bag?? ... show more

So I'm not an overly tall person (5'7"), but I certainly must not be as small as the model in the picture as I couldn't get it to quite lounge like she's lounging (with the back further up). It's still comfortable, but not near the behemoth that I thought it was going to be, especially considering it required freight shipping and scheduled delivery. This bean bag, the Big Squishy, is big and squishy. It's a nice grey color (that perfectly matched my Ikea couch) and we're actually using it as a side on the couch to simulate a bed when we pull out the extension. It makes a great back rest for the both of us to read/watch tv/etc. in that room. For sitting on it on the floor, neither of us have done that because we're bigger than said model in the picture. It just doesn't work as well, although I laid on it, on the couch the other day, and that was pretty comfy as a nap type position. In structure, I would estimate this is the size of three or four regular bean bags put together, although the ball fillings are of a smaller diameter than most regular beanbags that I've encountered. It has a washable cover (that zips off) and is fairly light for its size. I received one of these to review, and admittedly I don't think I would pay what they're asking for this thing. It just seems a little too high price for what it is. When I saw the picture in my head I was thinking something more like the giant ones you see in the mall; and this is not the same as those. As others have stated, this is not a bean bag, but more of a bean pillow. Unlike what the photos show, it is not a round shape, but is just a rectangle. It is premium quality and well constructed with premium materials, and is meant for kids, in my opinion. The smell is much better than I would have guessed. ... show more
