You'll get the perfect blend of support and comfort with this low-sitting chair that has a curved back. The Roma is the perfect bean bag chair for dorms, bedrooms, living rooms, and dens. It's covered in our durable, stain-resistant SmartMax fabric that can be spot cleaned as needed. Plus, it's filled with a scientifically identified amount of bean filling so when you sit on it, it's super comfy! And, bean refill bags are sold separately so you can give it a pick-me-up whenever needed, since all well-loved bean bags compress over time. For child safety and durability reasons, we intentionally break off the outside zipper pull before shipment. If you need to open your bag, simply use a paperclip to pull it open. Detailed instructions can be found on the warning label attached to your Big Joe. The cover is not removable, but may be spot cleaned as needed.

Reviews are all over for this product. The packaging when it was delivered was terrible. The box looked like it had been thrown and crunched many times. The tape barley seemed the openings. But it did not damage the chair itself. It does not come in a bag just put straight in a box. I like the material for it. I think it will hold up against my furry babies laying on it, them scratching it, or me pulling it from the handle to plop up against the couch to watch tv. It does not have an inside lining so if it gets dirty you will just have to wipe it down. I'm sure it will clean easily. I do have to say my chair seemed 3/4 full. I bought me a bag of styrofoam peanuts from U-Haul (1 bag was 1.5 cu. ft. of peanuts) and put that in my chair. It worked perfectly!!! What I did was fill it, hold it up vertically, then shake the chair so that the filling would trickle to the bottom and fill up the bag. I added 1 bag of the peanuts and it filled out the chair. By filling it up more an adjusting the filling it made the backing more sturdy. I do think it works best against something like a couch. But by filling it up and making sure the filling is evenly distributed, it will hold the shape for the back just fine. The size of this chair is perfect for a large adult. It is maybe 6-8 inches off the ground which is what I wanted. My furry baby has some back issues and the vet did not want him jumping on and off the furniture so his back could heal. So, I wanted something low that I could sit on, be able to pet my doggie, and so that he could get on and off without him having to jump. The floor is always so hard to sit on, so this was the best option. So even though my chair wasn't filled enough, I would still purchase again. I just knew the U-Haul packing peanuts would be a cheaper filler and less messy than the tiny balls that come inside the chair. Which by the way, will go all over the place if you are not very careful when filling up the chair. The peanuts are anti-static so they don't go all over the place. ... show more

I am a 5th grade teacher and was searching to find some comfy chairs for my classroom library that were durable, comfy, easy to clean, and not incredibly expensive. I was hesitant to buy anything filled with bean bag beans. In the past, my students have busted every bean bag chair I had purchased for the classroom very quickly, leaving huge messes for me to clean up. I took a risk purchasing the Big Joe Roma Bean Bag chair for my fifth grade classroom. I have been pleasantly surprised with the quality and comfort of this chair. Knock on wood, but I would have to say it is nearly indestructible and I'm not in fear my students will bust it open when they plop down on it! Students love this chair so much they are constantly asking me if they can sit on "Big Joe." This chair has worked out so well I will be purchasing another Big Joe Roma chair when I can afford it. My students are excited about this and have already come to me with names for the new chair. These chairs are great incentives to have my students sit down in our classroom library and read a book in a quiet, comfy space. I've had to set a 20-minute timer for students using the chair so more people have an opportunity to sit and read on it everyday.     • So uncomfortable and smells weird.

The material is not soft and the stuffing is easily the most uncomfortable thing I’ve sat on. I bought this one and another brand which was so much nicer. It’s called Posh Creations Nd the nylon cover was cool to the touch ans the stuffing was really comfy.

Don't waste your money unless you are ok with using only a few months. Has way too many seams. 1st one was returned because overfilled (which was nice for support) and started to split shortly after using. 2nd one wasn't nearly as filled (which sucked for support). Used by 2 year old so not much pressure on it. 2 yr old loved it. But now, 6 months later, there is a rip in the middle seam area and the beans are spewing out. I went to unzip it to remove the beans to sew the rip (plus it could use a washing) but the zipper has no pull string and is completely stuck, almost like the zipper was just for show. So now it is basically trash unless I cut the zipper, meaning another sew job. Loved that it was USA-made but the ones I've gotten have not been good quality. ... show more

We bought two of these. One was purchased at the beginning of January 2021 for a teen who weighs 115 lbs. We purchased a second at the end of February 2021 for a teen who weighs 250 lbs. It is now 6 weeks after the second chair purchase and the chair is COMPLETELY flat. The first chair of the lighter teen just looks a bit deflated, but is no where near as bad as the other chair. ... show more

I ordered 3 chairs for my kids for Christmas and 1 came with beans exploded all over the box. 2 came completely flat and wouldn't sit up at all. All 3 were exchanged and 1 is perfect and sits up fine and the other 2 are also completely flat. So now I have 1 chair for my 3 kids. Also the boxes are so big that the post office refuses to deliver them so I have to drive to the post office and pick it up in a truck. Then in order to return them, UPS won't take them from my porch so I have to get a truck again and drive them to the UPS store. This whole situation has been infuriating and I still only have 1 chair that you can actually sit in. If I could give zero stars I would! ... show more

Purchased 3 (2 for my kids 1 for me) to sit on when playing video games. After 90 days they have lost 50% or more of their fluff and now just lay flat. Big disappointment, big waste of money. My sons ripped right on the stitching today (95 lb kid).
